In 1725, Erzsébet Bartha stood accused of witchcraft. Thought to have been gifted sinister, supernatural powers by the devil, her neighbours asserted that she would come to them at night and attack them.. and that her attacks were done in spirit form. For Erzsébet possessed very powerful magic indeed, having been born as such - born different, born cursed. She was a táltos, an individual with paranormal abilities similar to those of a shaman or medium, which could be used to help and hurt…

In recent years there has been a outbreak of "Ouija board gone wrong" incidents coming from schools. All across the globe, children are said to have summoned terrifying paranormal entities using spirit boards... with dire consequences, including sickness, hospitalisations and, even, demonic possession. Such a supernatural epidemic of creepy Ouija board hauntings has even been reported within U.S. Marine barracks. According to some, such spirit boards are portals, capable of summoning malevolent non-human intelligences, interdimensional demons who want only one thing - to bring evil to the human world...

In 1977, Pauline Coombs witnessed a UFO fall from the sky near her farm in Pembrokeshire, Wales. This marked the beginning of a series of terrifying extraterrestrial sightings and encounters at Ripperston Farm, including creepy silver-suited humanoids, illuminated flying saucers, military interventions, alien abduction, non-human men in black, and even quite possibly an alien base or alien portal out at sea. Today the case is remembered as the Broad Haven Triangle, the 1977 West Wales UFO Flap, and even, Welsh Roswell, with many people, including local children at Broad Haven school, claiming to have witnessed aliens and strange UFO craft that year in and around Ripperston Farm. One of the greatest UFO mysteries of all time that has it all.

In this gripping documentary, we explore the sensational claims of Captain George Drevar, a sailor who supposedly encountered a gigantic sea serpent in 1875 while aboard his ship the Pauline, some 20 miles from Cape São Roque, Brazil. Remembered as a classic case of maritime cryptozoology, Drevar's legendary monster sighting impacted 19th century society to such an extent that he was forced to defend himself, and his claims, in court. He asserted he'd seen the Leviathan of myth... others asserted he was a madman. Today we explore the details of this fantastical paranormal case and consider what the enigmatic creature Drevar encountered might have been.

In October 1691, a man confessed before the judges of Jürgensburg in Swedish Livonia that he was a werewolf. Known as Old Thiess, the eighty year old man claimed to have been a “hound of God” who “entered Hell at certain times of the year, not to serve Satan - as the judges insisted - but to fight him”. And so, far from being a monster, some manner of dark cryptid creature, he was a vehicle of divinity…

In August 1980, writer and researcher Colin Wilson journeyed to 30 East Drive in Pontefract, England, the home of the Pritchard family and - if their testimonies were to be believed - a horrific black monk poltergeist. Known as “Fred” and “Mr. Nobody”, this evil entity was terrifying, and responsible for all manner of creepy paranormal activity, from objects moving of their own volition, to scary bumps and bangs in the night, to the full-bodied spectral apparition of a demonic black robed monk. Today, the story of the Pritchards and the Black Monk of Pontefract is remembered as one of the most terrifying cases of poltergeist phenomena in all history…

To solve the crime, police recruited the help of Greta Alexander, a woman of paranormal reputation said to have acted as a psychic detective in many other unsolved and missing person cases. Greta Alexander’s involvement in this incredible true crime story posed many questions, including whether or not the paranormal can help law enforcement agencies solve chilling cold case crimes. Ultimately, In this case, she claimed to have used her psychic abilities to not merely locate Mary's body, but help law enforcement to secure justice against her killer...

In February 2022, s strange and mysterious creature was seen in the British countryside, crossing the A425 road near the village of Staverton: an identified being over six feet tall with droopy shoulders, creepy curled hands, and a goat’s head. It was 2 a.m. in the morning and the driver of the car was left speechless. Eerily, the location of the sighting was also close to a place known as Demon Hill. What followed was an energetic forum discussion, with many attempting to debunk the eerie and seemingly paranormal mystery… and others pointing to the lore of the Old Shuck, a horrific hellhound, and even of the goatman, a legendary monster associated with many odd sightings and encounters throughout the 1970s and into the present day.

In March 1920, several items, including clothing and religious artefacts, mysteriously caught fire in the Pillay family's home in Needamangalam, India. At first ascribed to accident, it was soon feared the cause was supernatural - and possibly demonic. What followed was a series of strange and haunting happenings, poltergeist in nature, that led to the involvement of the Church. Today, this true case of poltergeist phenomena has largely been lost to history, despite being well-documented and, at the time, feared...

In 2011, Steven LaChance and his family moved into a house in Union, Missouri. Little did they know that the property was haunted, and would soon become a hotbed of strange, mysterious, and deeply disturbing paranormal activity - from poltergeist-like happenings to the appearance of creepy shadow figures to demonic screaming. Years later, when another family moved into the same house, the supernatural phenomena escalated, allegedly resulting in the terrifying demonic possession of at least one person...

In December 1988, Bob Cranmer and his family moved into 3406 Brownsville Road, Pennsylvania. Almost immediately, a series of strange things happened: furniture moving by itself; mysterious footsteps and knocking in the night; and then, the appearance of a terrifying, hooded Grim Reaper-like figure… Before too long, it was said that a demon had a grip on the house - and all who resided in it. In the end, the happenings reached such a peak that an exorcist was invited to the haunted property. Ultimately, however, only years of battle and endurance of some of the most horrific paranormal activity ever reported would shake the haunting.

In 1958, a family from the village of Poieni, Romania were harvesting hay for the winter. What followed was a chilling and traumatic experience like no other: an attack by a horrifying wolf. Afterwards, it was whispered that there was a paranormal quality to the happening, and that the wolf was a supernatural monster - a werewolf, or as they are known in Romanian folklore, a pricolici. For certainly, the family at the centre of this historic paranormal case were said to have been cursed many years before… with the creepy wereanimal being the manifestation of the decades-old curse.

In 1973, two children were playing near the town of Sandown on the Isle of Wight, England. What followed was as sinister as it was bizarre: a tall, humanoid figure dressed akin to a creepy clown, with three blue fingers and antennae on its head, appeared before the children. It appeared to be extraterrestrial, an encounter with an alien being which not merely communicated with the pair, but invited them inside its “metallic hut” UFO, and quite possibly abducted them. In the years since, all manner of theories have been proposed as to what the children experienced, with the being now, chillingly, being known as All Colours Sam, the Sandown Clown.

In 1840, Gottliebin Dittus moved into a small apartment in Möttlingen, Germany. What followed has been described as the most extreme, most gruesome, and most chilling demonic possession in all history. Mysterious happenings, apparitions, black magic, and horrific physical phenomena of the worst variety, it led to the involvement of Johann Christoph Blumhardt, a Lutheran pastor who not merely documented the case, but performed an exorcism on Gottliebin. Today, his writings are remembered as The Black Forest Exorcism.

In 2004, six men from Romania did the unthinkable: went to the grave of a suspected vampire, dug him up, and staked him. It was an exorcism. Such a horrifying act was in response to a series of mysterious happenings centred on a young woman. She was, it was said, under attack by an evil paranormal monster, a vampire, or as they are known in Romania folklore, a strigoi. And, most terrifying, this was not the first time in history that such a creature had haunted the living...

In 1925, the discovery of a silver coin on the roadside changed Eleonora Zugun’s life forever, it triggering a series of strange and mysterious happenings which placed her at the centre of one of the most internationally renowned cases of poltergeist phenomena in history. Exposed to exorcism and studied by paranormal researchers, including Harry Price and Countess Zoë Wassiliko van Serecki, Eleonora soon became known as the Romanian ghost girl, and, more chillingly, the Devil’s Girl…

On 15th June 2005, paramedics were called to the Holy Trinity Monastery of Tanacu in Eastern Romania. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a young woman, dressed as a nun and laid on a makeshift cross. Her name was Irina Cornici, and, unbeknownst to the paramedics, she had just been through a three-day-long exorcism in which Father Daniel Corogeanu, assisted by four nuns, attempted to deliver her from evil. They claimed she had been possessed by the devil, with the horrifying details and what followed making this paranormal case one of the most outraging and highly publicised instances of exorcism in the 21st century.

Superficially, the Tarot is little more than an elaborate card game: a pack of 78 cards said to be able to divine the future. And yet, the cards’ history is long and rich, far longer and far richer than one might expect for a mere game, with their purpose rumoured to encompass the deepest secrets of human enlightenment, eternal and universal truths which were encoded into symbols and passed down from the time of the Ancients, all of which makes the Tarot not merely a frivolous way to guess the future, but a paranormal gateway to ancestral knowledge and thus all the mysteries of the universe...

In 1987, a bizarre incident in Slade Green would forever change the lives of an English family. Jason, the four-year-old son of Ann and Paul Andrews, went into a strange trance in the midst of an unearthly thunderstorm. He wanted to leave… and join the paranormal beings who were waiting for him outside in the dark. These beings were the watchers, and according to the Andrews’ testimonies, they were extraterrestrial and would, for the next several years, subject them to alien abduction.

In 1928, one of the most well-documented cases of exorcism in the 20th century took place. These diabolical and creepy events surrounded Anna Ecklund, a woman whose alleged demonic possession and exorcism occurred over several decades, administered to by the exorcist Father Theophilus Riesinger. Also known as the Earling Possession, the events that took place in a secluded convent in Iowa over a series of nights would go on to shape society’s very conception of exorcism, with Riesinger going on to inspire the exorcist in the film The Exorcist.

The lost city of Atlantis was described by Plato as having sunk beneath the sea over 11,000 years ago. If true, such would not merely be one of the greatest ancient archaeological mysteries of all time, but would challenge the history of civilization itself. Shockingly, evidence of Atlantis seems to be everywhere.

In the middle decades of the twentieth century, the threat posed by aliens was taken very seriously, not merely by UFO researchers, but by senior government officials and scientists - including those involved in the development of the nuclear bomb. The origin of this interest can be found in some of the greatest UFO mysteries of all time, namely the mass appearance of strange green fireballs over nuclear military testing grounds. What followed were rumours of extraterrestrial involvement on Earth, secret ET meetings, and further civilian and military sightings of alien spacecraft over and around nuclear facilities all around the world, with self-claimed survivors of alien abductions sounding the alarm bells over a sinister grey alien civilization wishing to influence, exploit, and eventually take over Earth.

A common trope in science-fiction literature, films and TV, teleportation describes the movement of matter from one location to another, without said matter physically traversing the distance in between. Despite being argued as scientifically possible, we are yet to find a way to realise this futuristic dream. Or, are we…?

On Christmas morning 1964, strange sounds were heard of Warminster, England. What is claimed to have followed was shocking: mysterious aerial vibrations and mass UFO sightings which culminated in a series of extraterrestrial encounters and, quite possibly, abductions. In the decades since, a full explanation of the Warminster UFO Flap has never been agreed upon, leading many to remember the Warminster Thing as one of the greatest UFO mysteries in history.
