DiY Solar Well Pump Install Grumpys Diy 2025-08-18 | This is not a how to video, I am learning this too. But you can watch and I give points and advice on what I bought, why I bought it. The solar pump is an RPS solar pump, I am not sponsored by them, nor am I sponsored by any product in the video. I used AI to give me most of my information, I just asked it as many questions as possible. The AI will give you the weight of everything, I asked it where to buy stuff, literally every question I had it answered. I then called several well type companies and asked each a few questions to verify the AI answers. The only thing I would have changed in the process was the wheels on the engine hoist. I would have dug them down into the ground because eventually the engine hoist moved a few inches forward toward the end and maybe the last 2 20' sections to be installed the stainless steel cable was rubbing the edge of the steel casing. It didn't rub hard enough to take the coating off so I am not worried. Also the wire spool was too heavy for the saw horses so I used jack stands at their lowest setting. But to make it smoother that's what I would change.I am not a plumber, I am not a well pump installer, driller, electrician, or anything. I am a certified know it all though. So in saying that I am not responsible for what you do, this is for fun and entertainment.

So I couldn’t keep it running and I was out in the open with 10mph winds. I took the c02 sensor off and used 15 cents worth of tape to cover the holes on it and now the generator runs like a champ. Before I did that I called Westinghouse and they wanted me to drive 4 hours to take to to a repair place. I think my fix is cheaper.

Two bolts take the old plastic intake and air box out of the jeep 5.7 hemi. Unplug the Air temp sensor and install it on the air raid intake pipe. Then 8 push clips for the front grill and that comes right off. Pull the intake pipe plastic piece out to remove that front cover and put it back in. But the airbox back in, then install the air raid intake pipe with the boots and tighten. Plug in the AIT sensor and put the grill back on.

I think with it coiled vertically behind the unit, the compressor was having problems circulating the refrigerant. Now if you wanted to install one of their 12k btu units which is 120v instead of the 220 the 24k unit needs, you could connect it to your system if your rocking solar on the roof and a nice inverter and also run it for a couple hours at night before bed. I googled typical ac usage and a household ac can use 72 KW a day, where this unit is doing maybe 15-18 KW a day. Which makes it super efficient. Grumpys Diy 2022-09-20 | 06 cummins manifold / turbo gasket t3 leak & locking hardwareHere is a quick video of me changing out the t3 gasket on my 2006 cummins. I started to hear a whistle noise and found a leak between the manifold and the turbo. Tried to tighten it up but didn't work. I first tried to remove just the turbo and one of the studs broke off in the manifold. So I had to remove the whole assembly and use heat and vice grips to get the stud out. Now I had bought the locking manifold and turbo hardware before, but the last time I had to take the turbo out I didn't reinstall them because I thought they were a pain in the ass. Well I reinstalled what I had and will be ordering new locking hardware as the gasket blowing itself out ever few months is a bigger pain in the ass. Simple job, plus a tip on using 3 1/2 bolts with same thread pattern as the manifold bolts to line everything up while working by yourself. 6.0 Powerstroke - Rear Differential Fluid Change & Differential Cover Upgrade Grumpys Diy 2021-10-28 | 6.0 Powerstroke - Rear Differential Fluid Change & Differential Cover Upgrade. While I was working on the 6.0 powerstroke anyway, I bought an upgraded aluminum differential cover along with the fluid change. With the new differential cover I had to go buy new bolts and cut them down with a chop saw. Then I applied the motorcraft T-31 to the differential cover and gasket to ensure no leaks what so ever. I cleaned out the differential with brake clean and a hand full of oil rags. I cleaned the mating surface with my impact and a brass wheel. Then I installed the new differential cover and torqued the bolts down. Torque value doesn't need to be insane here all you doing is holding the fluid in. Then I remove the 3/8" magnetic plug and inspect and clean the plug before fluid install and plug install. 6.0 Powerstroke - DiY Engine Rebuild - Part 8 Grumpys Diy 2021-10-15 | 6.0 Powerstroke - DiY Engine Rebuild - Part 8. This is the last video in the 6.0 powerstroke diy engine rebuild series. I start by installing the front cover and gasket on the 6.0 powerstroke engine. I then installed the LPOP gears all nice and oiled up. Then I install the LPOP cover and tighten the bolts down. I then install the water pump in the front cover. I then installed the exhaust manifolds and move onto the rear main seal. After the rear main seal we have to install the plate on the end of the crankshaft that is pressed on so we can then install the fly wheel. After I install the flywheel my cousins came over and we put the engine in the truck. We didn't film this in detail because it took us 6 hours and we just wanted to get it done. Then the next day I got out and over the course of 10 hours taking my time I installed the rest of the accessories and fluids and such. I found my starter positive connection was broken so now I am waiting on a starter. 6.0 Powerstroke - DiY Engine Rebuild - Part 5 Grumpys Diy 2021-10-05 | 6.0 Powerstroke - DiY Engine Rebuild - Part 5. In this video we plasti-gauge the rod bearing clearance for the 6.0 powerstroke. Then I put ARP lube on the rod bolts and torqued them all down to spec. I then go over where to install the camshaft position sensor in the engine, then where to install the crankshaft position sensor in the engine. Then we take the upper oil pan and install the o-rings on both sides then add some T-31 RTV sealant to the outter edge of the o-ring to prevent leaks. I then install the 8mm bolts for the upper oil pan and torque them to spec as well. 6.0 powerstroke - DIY Engine Rebuild - Part 1 Grumpys Diy 2021-09-30 | 6.0 powerstroke - DIY Engine Rebuild - Part 1. So this is the beginning of my 6.0 powerstroke rebuild. Some of my previous videos just before this go over cleaning parts and other useful information. So in part 1 of this diy engine rebuild for our 6.0 powerstroke will be me blowing out the bolt holes to make sure there isn't any liquid for proper torque specs. Then I clean the block and girdle bearing journals with rubbing alcohol and the bearings on both sides to ensure no dirt on the bearings. Then we torque the girdle down with plasti-gauge to ensure proper clearance in the bearings. I let the machine shop install the cam bearings because well simply put it wasn't much more than the tool cost on amazon to have them do it, I figured they have more experience than me so why not.
