Field Review of the TTArtisan 100mm Macro (w/ binaural birds)Thomas Shahan2023-06-06 | **background audio is first attempt at recording and mixing binaural audio - lmk how the audio is - sorry if some of the birds are too loud!**
A field-focused review of the TTArtisan 100mm tilting and shifting macro lens where I end up not tilting/shifting that much
the springtails at ~7:28 are Pseudobourletiella I believe - the species ID in top left is a typo there
the lens seems prone to flaring - I got a lot of washed out shots when shooting against bright backgrounds or the sky... although this isn't something I've tested against other lenses

Also, special thanks to Lemon w/ Laowa who stayed up way too late in her time to assist with streaming stuff!

Laowa 15mm, and Fujian 35mm f/1.6 c mount. Almost entirely mv1080 @1736x976px (beginning shot was 2.5k crop mode @2048x1152px). Lots of aliasing and rainbows but dynamic range and bitrate are great for a ~130usd camera. Upscaled and exported the footage at 4k(for cleaner playback on youtube?)
Music recorded on an Arturia Microbrute - twisting knobs on one sequence drenched in stereo delay and reverb - supplemented by a synth bass track, an electric bass track, and one track noodling around on a vintage Kay Swingmaster.

Color correction may be a bit off as I was using a cheap ND filter that flared kinda purple(?) in the sunlight. Lots of aliasing and artifacts in mv1080 but the 2.5k crop mode looks pretty clean. Scaled and uploaded in 4k to help out bitrate(?)

If you must, let them crawl onto you and move about carefully. Never trap or apply pressure to the spider.
This video is intended to calm some of the many misconceptions and fears regarding venomous spiders. In short - be careful with them, and they should be careful with you. Hopefully :)
