Respawn has stated that Apex is a gun skill game first, & that aim, movement, & positioning should be the most important factors that contribute to your success. It used to be all brain and aim. Teams using ziplines and portals to get a strategic position or a sneaky flank, people are trying to outshoot each other, there's the occasional Gibby airstrike, but no scanning, just situational awareness on the part of the player. Now it’s just press [ability], wallhack everything around you, and win because you have a Prowler and they don’t. This is going to get absurdly stale really fast. I hope Respawn can get back to their core philosophy and values they reference in various patch notes because the current game state does not reflect that in my opinion.
