I tested Star Citizen server meshing, and its INCREDIBLE.. Olli43 2024-03-24 | Star Citizen recently announced it was making progress with server meshing meaning different areas of the verse can have their own server but all players remain together. But not one was expecting to be testing it so soon and for it to work flawlessly. For this to work at all is going to mean massive improvements to server performance and more players playing together in the same shard. It's incredible tech and I'm so pleased to get to test the first version of it. Star Citizen is about to feel VERY different.. (Master Modes Chat & Demo) Olli43 2024-03-01 | Star Citizen is about to drastically change its flight system. No longer will you be able to fly at max speed whilst using shields or any other system - If you want to engage a bounty, you'll need to get into a combat mode with a much-reduced speed. Overall, I really like master modes and I think it's a really positive move for Star Citizen - I think they're on the right track for making Star Citizen what the original vision was. The only couple bits of feedback from me personally would be to change the target UI from a red box around the target to a moving 'Dorito' above the ship (that follows orientation) and bump up the speed just a little bit. However, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) hasn't stopped there; they've now introduced hoverbike racing, reminiscent of pod racing. This new addition is fast, perilous, and incredibly fun. There are still some teething issues, but if this gets refined, it's going to be really popular.
