I picked this category as a way to improve at the game, and be better in my online games, including Lounge. I lowkey wanted to get a World Record - the thing is, I didn't expect this to take me multiple days of essentially only grinding this category, to the point I reduced my playtime on every other aspect of the game.
This is a pretty difficult category. It both requires skills and good RNG, you could just practice certain shortcuts and just pull them all the time, then get a very good run dying tobeing chained by a shock, into red shells and then a blue shell, it was one of the biggest mental challenges I've had in a game in such a short time span.
Honestly, I don't think I was lucky at all during that grind, I mostly spent my time figuring out what character/kart would fit the best for me, while also pulling the 'unlucky' card when I would not have a good run. But now that I got a run with nearly no blue shells, and very few shocks; what can I say?
This run helped the most to just notice how many flaws I have as a player, especially if you look at my Acorn Heights run, where I got the luck I was asking for, but lost nearly 15 seconds to me being not good enough to get a flawless run. Other tracks reflect that pretty well too, but are less technical, therefore not really noticeable to the average Mario Kart player.
The nerves I was feeling in the second half were insane : I knew my run was huge, and that it could actually go in the 1:20 territory - which, as you can see, did not happen. I can't stop thinking about how much hope this gives me for this category in the long term, and I definitely want to be part of that community grind. But for now, I'll just appreciate how far I've come one month in, with most of my Mario Kart experience left in 2017.
It is all clear, I've pretty maxed my potential so far. Although I can 1:20 and honestly even 1:19 if I push a little more, it is probably not the smartest move to do right now. I'd like to get a little better at the game for now, then come back once I've learned most of the NISCs in this game, as well as some of the feather shortcuts in the game, which will definitely take a while.
Thinking this was going to be my last run of the day, I did not imagine this outcome, as most of my runs would die to some horrible RNG later on, but most of my timeloss is my own fault. So I'm glad this run was not only my first Mario Kart Speedrun World Record, but also the best way to teach me how to improve at the game. I'm grateful for that.

After a year since my last record, that was beaten in november 2021, I finally took my world record back. I didn't believe I would be the first sub 10 minute time, especially 1 hour after coming back to the category, but here we are.
The run clearly didn't have as many mistakes as the previous one, but I still had to skip one level because it was too long for the run, and I lost a bit of time in pretty much every level, for safety.
I think I'm done with this category, and by now, I wanna learn new games to play, it could be a surprise :D

This time I'm gonna show you 3 levels I really enjoyed.
For the first level, I wanted to show you guys a hard Team Jamp level, which was the first exclusive TJ level I've played. Of course it's based a lot on precision, nothing else I could expect from a Z7 level. This is not too hard, I would say the hard parts are the pokey drop at the beginning, and also the juggle section. Luckily practice rooms do exist, thank you for that. Took me under an hour.
The second one is a pretty cool Snake Block level. You know, the item known for being used for boring section in a lot of levels, Hatepool managed once again to create something creative, precise and fun with pretty unused items. This level is probably around the same difficulty as the first one, but for some reason it took me a little bit over 2 hours, probably because some jumps are tight especially the last one on the blue snake block. It's also pretty easy to die at the beginning, but since it's the first trick there's no real big deal. Probably one of my favorite TP levels so far.
The third, and last one, is an insanely hard P-Balloon level, that might be one of the hardest known levels using this powerup (maybe the hardest who knows?), at least the hardest I've beaten by far and if you follow this channel or my activity in general, you might know I've beaten many of hard ones. Luckily I found some helpful cheese at the thwomp section, which makes it come from the hardest section of the whole level to one of the easiest, which helped me a lot. There also was a practice level for this, which I spent many hours on to learn every section carefully. So what I would remember the most is probably the ending being extremely stressful for me, especially since low gravity is not what I'm the best at. Also the star section was hard at first but once learning it it becomes much easier and satisfying to get. The first section has cheese as well, you're supposed to go between thwomps, instead, I just do a 1 or 2 frames boost to avoid all of that. It overall took me 8 hours, but I'm pretty sure it should have taken me much more time, but I'm not gonna complain.
Also quick note : You might have noticed (I hope not) but there's a cut before the very last section. No I'm not a cheater, that's because when I recorded the level and beat it, OBS was stupid and only recorded the sound, I was very sad about it and considered rebeating it, but I decided to just recreate it as it was a better solution for both the creator and me. I didn't want to inflate the clear rate like I did with Nugukaza's level.
But yeah, otherwise it was a fun experience and grind, I hope to be able to experience again soon.
Feel free to check these out, they're lots of fun!

It's about time for my new compilation, here I'm gonna play 3 various levels.
For the first level, it's kinda an annoucement. Yeah I joined Team Jamp a few weeks ago! Here's my entry TJ level. Nothing much to add, it's basically a challenging fast-pace platforming level that's not too bad either. The hardest part is more likely the chomp section at the end, which requires precise landings on the chomp.
The second one is a hard water level made for a Super World, which consists in going through spinies and spikes. This level is very long and very slow-pace. I died multiple times after getting 3 or 4 coins. The hardest coin for me was the one on far right. It required a precise swim that might be as precise as a spike swim, like at the past on left, at least that's how it left. This level took me around 40 minutes, I would say that's mainly because of the length, but it's no less a level with difficult individual tricks.
The third, and last one, is a very hard new soup precision level, that is rated 7.0 in TP. There are a lot of difficult parts, but if I had to remind some of them, I would mention the two last tricks, and the three first tricks, which were extremely precise. The nai definitely was the most difficult trick though, it felt pretty random at first, but it seems like if you get a good lineup and the right jump height, you should be able to get it. This level took me 6 hours, even though I got a pre nai after an hour of grind. This is pretty much a level that can be either cleared quickly, or take ages. A very fun and well made level, anyway.

A level that took me 30 hours to upload, probably my hardest clear.
I wanted to try something creative, so I quickly thought about bumpers, which are not used a lot in Team Precision, so here we are. Also decided to make it low gravity, so that's also a pretty hard low gravity level.
The hardest section is probably getting the second coin, but after practice, every section feels doable. However, getting all the sections at once is a pure pain. During my grind I got 2 pre nais and 0 nais, which I feel lucky about.
Overall this level was really fun and satisfying, but I never expected to take over 10 hours to clear it, in fact, that took me triple the time I expected.
Hopefully the few people who will play it will enjoy it as much as I did :p

2:57 Balancing the night (D58-D5B-QFF)
So, we're here on what's probably my hardest compilation so far. I will chill down for the next ones, promise.
The first level is a very cool mountain looking, that was pretty hard to understand in the first attempts. But then the execution looks great, and some tricks chain very well. It took me overall 30 minutes to beat, but since the video randomly crashed, I had to rebeat it. At least this was pretty quick to rebeat.
The second one is a hard P-Balloon precision level, that's pretty long with a lot of memorization overall. Luckily, practice levels exist for this, which helped me a lot. The second half is much harder than the first since you have to take really tight turns without bonking or hitting the firebars once. This took me something around 5 hours, including over 2 hours of practice, maybe would have been less if I was actually good with stick. Needless to say, practicing the 5 parts separately really carried me. I would say the hardest part was definitely hitting the last on off switch while still having time to not get hit by the firebars at the end. The level may look awful from a viewer perspective, but trust me, it's so fun to play and make progress.
The third, and last one, is a very hard seesaw precision level, but slippery this time, and with much harder tricks. It is much harder than Balancing the day which is the prequel of this level, and is probably my hardest clear to this date. Everything is very hard in this level. First of all you have to get the first coin while having enough height and not hitting the saws next to you, which requires a perfect momentum control. Then getting in the second coin section and getting away is as well pretty hard, I died a few times to it. The part after that requires close to frame perfect movements to make the seesaw high enough while having enough speed, with a section where you need to make very low jumps with a precise timing. The last part of the subworld is the hardest part of the level, I failed there around 20 times and never could get it consistently, it was pretty hard to know what you're doing wrong and I guess you can see it by me spending around 20 seconds just trying to get this jump correctly. After you get the third coin, there's the nai, which is pretty hard as well but if you practice it enough to not die there, you will be rewarded with this insane clear! I died once there, luckily. This level took me 9 hours to clear, and I can feel lucky since I thought this would take me at least 15 hours to clear, considering how hard it is.

1:16 Fantastic Voyage #TP (RQF-SDP-HSG)
2:09 Balancing the day (8YW-MLQ-FKG)
The first level is a nice platforming level with rising poison and it seems to come from a popular Super World. I had a bit of trouble to understand how the level worked, especially with the moon. But I ended up figuring it out and honestly, it's lots of fun once you learn it, the wall jumps and the ground pound cancels execute very well. It took me something like 30 minutes, and it was a good experience for me.
The second one is a pretty interesting low gravity level, where you have to carefully land on bloopers on the edge of the saws. It's pretty precise, the part at 1:44 is by far the hardest of the level, but overall, it's not that bad. It took me a bit less than an hour after a nai which I wasn't careful with, but more of the level's difficulty came from one specific jump. That was a very cool 5.0 level from #TP.
The third, and last one, is a very hard seesaw precision level. I planned to go for this for a while but never had the motivation to. When I saw people starting to clear another seesaw level, it made me remind of this. I'm not disappointed in this level at all, the clear rate may be low (around 5/9000) but the practice rooms definitely helped a lot. You may have seen this on Reddit already, this level took me 7 hours and I died 6 times on the last trick, which is for me the hardest even though all the tricks are hard here, even the start. This is rated 7.5 in #TeamPrecision and it's definitely one of my hardest clears in the whole game, can't be more proud.

The first level is a #TeamShell level. Yeah, I decided to join it! Which means playing the levels from there (: Well, for now I don't really have time to play so much of it, but this is my highest rated clear so far, a 3.5. I will definitely go for more in the future. This level is fairly easy, but I struggled because I didn't understand why I missed most of my spring drops, looked like I did it wrong.
The second one is a simple precision level, but most of the jumps in it are incredibly hard. Nothing so special to say about it, it's a level made to have horrible jumps, ironically I enjoyed it a lot. I had to clear this twice because the recording had a bad quality while clearing it, and I didn't realize that, so it took me some time.
The third, and last one, is a hard #TeamPrecision and #TeamPBalloon level. All the 3 levels took around 2 hours, and this one is the hardest of them. This mixes pure precision and timing, better say that if you're not used to the P-Balloon hitbox, you might have a difficult time. The door entry is also harder than it looks, just like many parts of this level. I also had to clear it twice because I forgot to start the recording, when I realized after beating the level for the first time, I felt so stupid.
Also this recording had many frame drops, and I'm very sorry about it. But hey you know, I wasn't going to clear this a third time, you probably don't need to ask me why.
And anyway, I found a solution to this problem, so no worries for the next videos.

After 2 days of trying, I actually got the World Record in Endless Easy! This was very fun and I feel pretty lucky with the time it took me, sucks that I died once but I still consider this good. I wish this was sub 10 though. RNG was really good, as the run mostly consists in it, it's still possible to lose time from your own mistakes. It may not be the most skilled category but hey, 1st/285.

The second one is a hard P balloon level for both #TeamPBalloon and #TeamPrecision, learning the boo cycles was probably the hardest thing. The ending is also not easy, it took me about 2 hours to beat.
The third, and last one, is a hard #TeamPrecision and music level, it took me 10 hours to beat, the clear rate is also very low (12 clears for 85075 attempts), practice rooms really helped me to make progress on this level, as every trick is hard here, especially the last one, I got lucky to get it on the third time, it could have taken way more tries.

The World Record set is beatable by at least 10 seconds, the first half was pretty good, I just tried to play the level without taking damage in the second part to keep the shell for the end and damage boost. But I really liked this level and believe you should try it too!
It took me around 1 hour, it requires some fast movements after the clear pipes which makes it pretty hard.
