I got the rope at a DIY store, just couldn’t pass it by. I love natural materials. It’s about 8 mm thick, 1 cm would also work.
This basket now serves as storage for my daughters’ hair accessories, and it perfectly matches our interiors.
This video came out very relaxing with my voice and piano, it surely has some antistress effect on me.

A glue gun nicely fixes mushy surfaces together and it holds great as long as you press the hot glue at once. If you have doubts, then double the seam with a hot iron. It will melt the glue into the position you need.

Origami tulips. Paper flowers for Mother’s Day

AmyFamily DIY 2021-02-24 | A simple version of beautiful flowers. Paper tulips in origami technique. These would make lovely DIY gift for Mom’s Day.
I was using white and colored office paper. Basic colored paper for kids will also do (but be gentle with it not to tear it). Just make sure it’s double sided. You will also need a glue stick, a thin skewer (for example, an ink holder), a pair of scissors, a pencil and a ruler.
I’m going to leave my bunch at my workshop. These flowers create an inspiring spring mood.

A fast and easy way to make a gift box from paper. Will work great for small gifts and souvenirs.
A very handy master class for you when you really need a box but you don’t have any at hand.
In this video I’m using paper squares 30 x 30 cm for the top and 29 x 29 cm for the bottom.
This difference of 1 cm between the top and the bottom is perfect if you’re using paper with a density of 150 g/m2.
For thinner paper take 7-8 mm, for thicker 12-13 mm.

Origami Gift Box. beginners friendly tutorial ) No glue, no scissors

Super easy. No glue, no scissors.

This origami box comes us real nice.
To make it, you’ll need two squares of paper.
One of the squares should be 1 cm smaller than the other.
I made a few boxes of different sizes, here are the measurements I used:
if you take squares of:
30 x 30 cm for the top
29 x 29 cm for the bottom
as a result you’ll get a box with a side of 11 cm and 6 cm tall.
If you take
22 x 22 cm for the top
21 x 21 cm for the bototm
you’ll get a box with a side of 8 cm and 4.5 cm tall.

AmyFamily DIY 2020-12-03 | The winter time has come for Christmas DIY. Here’s a simple way to make a toy gnomes out of socks.
You can use them to decorate your house for Christmas, or make a toy together with your kids.
I was making my dwarfs out of my own socks and they came out amazingly dear and lovely. I guess that’s the feeling you get from the house charms.
The gnomes are super easy and fast to make.
I have stuffed them with buckwheat. This has made them feel nicely heavy, and also you can use them as warmers. But in this case you should use a needle and a thread instead of a glue gun at all stages of the process.

Infinity Scarf in 20 minutes. Arm knitting. begginers friendly tutorial.
