Leagues 3 is upon us, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for checking out this video! I give a brief overview of what we have learned about Leagues 3 so far. We know about skill restrictions, and we know that the ENTIRE map is going to be available to us for the first time in leagues history. We're going to be hunting relic fragments all over the land, as they have been scattered by the Sage. I'm pumped.

Here's a short video with my thoughts about the Leagues V 5 tier 1 relics :) We've got Lumberjack, Power Miner, and Animal Wrangler. I did my best to give some fresh takes and think things through even with regions. Would love to hear if you guys have any great plans for the axe.

I went on stream and talked for 3 hours STRAIGHT about the tier 1 relics. This year we have Endless Harvest, Production Prodigy, and Trickster. There is so much to talk about in this and it was really fun to tear apart... so I hope you enjoy this and let me know your thoughts!! WHICH RELIC ARE YOU CHOOSING?
Thank you Redshadowism for this early attempt at a guide for Leagues 4!! Respectable work. As you might be able to tell... plenty of new details came out last minute and I "made up" for some of them at the end through editing. At the end of it all, the guide lost a bunch of points due to the rework of medium tasks being worth only 40 points instead of 50. Here is his guide: : docs.google.com/document/d/1zkEGcuIQBJIrw1o3QeZwKZPLcfbFQ5tWMGTawhSHyBc/edit?usp=sharing
Welcome back to some Leagues videos :) today we're talking about every single region because... so much has changed since last time!

#OSRSMobile #OldSchoolRS #OldSchoolRuneScapeGet The DropWeSkillNow2022-02-26 | I like how this video turned out, but I gotta admit, it was a lot of work. To lift the veil a bit, I pretty much built it segment by segment. Sometimes I had something I wanted to say, other times I just listened to some music and let it lead me. Overall I'd say this is one of the best videos on my channel though!
SCRIPT: Would you believe me if I said I always knew leagues 3 would be lack luster?
You might not believe it after watching videos of me being excited about it in the months leading up to it, but yeah. I knew.
As soon as I heard the "gimmick" of this league was unlocking skills, I had doubts. Then, I heard early on in the design plans that players would be able to to unlock every skill by the end. And then, I knew.
A skill lock gimmick almost sounds like a good idea, but then if you take more than one minute to consider things, you realize mostly all that happens is players find a piece of content that they can do, and stay there until it's done. It's like playing a 99 one at time account, an OLAAT snowflake.
Leagues 3 would be that way... that is, if we were truly restricted.
One of the biggest complaints about leagues 3 is that the early game feels extremely locked down. that's kind of funny to hear because you don't exactly see people setting themselves up for huge grinds and focusing on just one skill at a time. When you feel like unlocking your next skill, you can.
That's my experience anyway, and before you assume I'm a full time streamer, I'm not. I have a job, a wife, a daughter. I've had to take a few days off of leagues already.
The task list makes me feel like I'm surrounded by opportunity all the time. Overall I'd say I'm drowning in renown, but the moments that I wasn't, those were the times where leagues 3 was acting like a league.
Let me explain why.
Leagues is a game mode inspired by snowflake ironmen. The mark of a snowflake that makes them appealing to play or watch is and has always been the restrictions. Leagues needs to be restrictive in order to create memorable moments and problems that require creativity to overcome.
So leagues 3 was doomed from the start. Jagex saw the complaints from the preivous two leagues. Twisted league was famous for bottlenecks. Ploughs, mess hall, sara wizards. Trailblazer allowed the absolute troll option of choosing the fairy's flight relic. hilarious, good one team. We're going to have none of that in leagues 3.
The origin of hot swappable fragments is someone trying to keep players from making mistakes.
So I saw this whole concept of "it's just fast ironman mode" coming. I prepared myself for it. This is why I welcomed a restrictive renown system. It's the only restrictive part of leagues 3, and after community complaints, we have lost it.
It's entirely gone. Starting on Wednesday, feel free to skip absolutely any quest pack, unlock any boss, unlock the rest of your skills without a second thought. The renown system is dead and all the remains is watching a tedious animation every time you unlock something.
jagex decided to step in to make some changes to bring back the players from group 1 into leagues. Well, that's not going to save it. And now the group that was originally enjoying leagues now has to play a watered down version of it. Not to mention the dragon cup contenders who had made strategic decisions on their time allocation that have suddenly become VERY bad choices.
So yeah. I'm the leagues guy. I'm still playing. I still love leagues 3, despite this (ui overlay) But I am disappointed that the opinion of people who quit leagues led jagex to absolutely trash the original renown system. It wasn't perfect, but it was the only thing this league had.
I didn't address every complaint that people have raised about leagues thus far, but I do bring this up because I haven't heard anyone say this other than me yet.
I keep hearing people talking about the needless complexity of the fragment system. And it really confuses me. I had been thinking about this fragment system for a while before leagues started, and I gotta say, I wish it was actually complicated. Because in my experience, if you're going to train fishing, you should equip your fishing fragments. If you're going to fight things with magic, you should equip your magic fragments. It really doesn't get deeper than that. The only "quote unquote" complexity in the fragment system is the legitimately frustrating UI in the fragment menu. I find myself skipping using beneficial fragments sometimes because I don't want to deal with it.
I think Jagex tried a little too hard. The amount of time that had to go into creating a full fragment system with many different powers is significant. I believe that the spirit of leagues could be captured more potently and simply in other ways. But I could talk about that some other time.
I'm gonna be straight up with you, I'm not really looking forward to reading the comments on this video.
Anyway, if you're still playing leagues I'll see you out there, if you quit leagues, I'm going to take your ranks.

Today we're trying to solve what skill to choose as our free unlock in Leagues 3: Shattered Relics. The choices are Attack, Strength, Ranged, or Mage. I decided to interview my chat members to get their opinions. The results... are SURPRISING

The script really got away from me on this one and I cringe and parts of this. But at the same time I think I've come up with an interesting concept here. I started this video back in April, but it fell on the back burner as I failed to work on it time and time again. Finally, a few days ago, I got to work! I'm excited to see if the community has any response to it. I think that's important that we break the barrier to allow a new skill into Runescape, sure, but that's not all that this concept is about. I think it'll be cool to be able to conceptualize unreleased content to see if it's fun and satisfying to give the community confidence in it as well. I don't think I communicate very well in this video, so I'd like to try again some time.

I'm personally looking forward to watching Mango / Ludwig / Atrioc / Stanz / Connor / JSchlatt / Mizkif / Penguinz and everyone else play group ironman mode! I'm expecting a lot of these guys to be beginners to the game, so I thought that if there was more info out on how to play the game smoothly, there's a chance I could help them and also more new people that come into the game because of their playing it. Good luck everyone!
Hello MangoFans and Mango. Super Smash Brothers Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube and Runescape were both released in 2001, so I've always felt they've had a spiritual connection. I'm very much looking forward to watching the Lumbridge Moguls crush group ironman.
In this video, you'll learn an early game plan that will set you up to be beat the competition, and will turn you into a giga chad as fast as possible, while skipping the boring grind. You'll also learn the hidden technique known as "The Mango."
I'm WeSkillNow, a 20-year Runescape veteran. I'm a doc kid to Melee, starting to play competitively in 2013. So Mango has been a hero of mine for a long time. My goal is to create a beginner OSRS guide that any dual spacie main could appreciate, but to also keep it short and sweet. So let's get started.
The first section of this video is about using optimal settings. I'll keep it short, but if you'd like to skip, go to this timestamp.
First off, download Runelite. Open Runelite, and open the side panel. Turn on "GPU" and copy these settings.
Now, go to the oldschool runescape website. Click "Enable authenticator" and follow the instructions. This is important in order to get a bunch of money early game.
Now, log in. If you have not beaten the tutorial, do so. The tutorial is pretty long. Always keep an eye out for the arrow on your minimap, or a flashing icon that the game wants you to press. This will get you throught the tutorial the fastest.
Once you make it to Lumbridge, click the wrench. 1st panel, 3rd panel, all settings.
Stream set up. You should consider intentionally playing in windowed mode instead of full screen. The UI elements will be bigger this way. Then, two good options for webcam location: Classic, classic resizeable.
You're ready to play.
Number 1. The Stronghold of Security. The reason to do this first is because it gives you 10,000 gp. This is a lot for a low level account. Having your authenticator enabled on your account is REQUIRED in order to do this, so if you skipped the first section of this video, go back.
Do the stronghold.
Number 2. Waterfall Quest.
Number 3. Tips n Tricks - how to safespot. Always be doing something. While Ludwig's running his mouth, YOU'RE always looking for a tree to chop, or a monster to kill. Keep bringing in that xp, baby. That's the Mango. Use a walk-along guide to complete quests easily.
Enjoy the game!

I made a tier list for every skill in preparation for OSRS Leagues 3! Chat voted on the skill based on their apparent usefulness. A lot of skills are wrapped into other skills, so it's not always easy to think in a vacuum. Generally speaking, the logic for these skill placements was dependent on their early game usefulness, because by the late game you'll likely have every skill unlocked.

We have a couple of details telling us where we are NOT going to start in OSRS Leagues 3. In this video I decided to take stream around the map with me to consider different locations. What do you think about the starting location?

I DELETED MY FRIENDS LIST. It had grown bloated over the years with people who didn't even play anymore. I didn't recognize most of the names. I wanted a refresh - but I was always too nervous to pull the trigger. In this video, I finally did it. And I decided to tell some of the stories that I remembered about the people!
I made this video on one of my runs. I enjoyed being outside and talking - might do it again sometime! The topic of this specific video is my guidless OSRS series. I have been seeing how many views it has been getting - and it's not enough. So do I quit it, or not? And do these thoughts apply to other things?
