It was fun playing around with the motion as the characters transformed into each other. I tried some new things, like using more straight-ahead animation as well as working in 8 fps, since I usually use 10, 12, or 15 fps. I also tried to be a little looser with my animation and be less picky about lineart consistency. And instead of actually lining my sketch, I decided to just clean up my sketch and use that as lineart. Thanks for letting me join, loved playing around with the concept :DFeaturing my OCs Linden and Kalina. This is based off an AU where the protagonist, Linden, dies in the middle of the story, leaving his friends, family, and the original plot, in shambles. Basically, it's a fun derailment of my story where everything goes horribly wrong and everyone has a bad time.What was supposed to be a quick PMV part turned into a project that took way longer than it should have, oops. I ended up redoing the illustrations over and over because I fell into a perfectionist downward spiral. Even now, there's still things I want to fix and make better. But, I figured I should stop giving in to my perfectionist tendencies and just finish it up and upload it. What is this witchcraft??This is a project I've been on in order to really experiment with editing. I tried animating in Clip Studio Paint and actually planned out my editing beforehand rather than after I finished all the animation (which is what I usually do).The last time I did something PMV style was three years ago (This: youtube.com/watch?v=XECrn3eQzFc). I can barely even look at it now. I guess that means I've come a long way, huh? XDStory explanation time:This all takes place in an urban fantasy story kinda like Puella Magi Madoka Magica where high-schoolers fight supernatural monsters at night with anime superpowers, aw yeah!Coda (beanie guy) is a delinquent and a loner with a habit of purposefully driving people away. To protect himself from being vulnerable, Coda uses his smug attitude and condescending sarcasm to present himself as an unpleasant person to be around. Linden (red jacket guy and the protagonist of the story) isn't really fond of Coda at first, but he goes out of his way to reach out to him because as long as they're both stuck in the same situation, working together to fight spooky monsters is better than not working together. Coda tries to push Linden away by amping up his sadistic side, but after a lot of persistence on Linden's part, Coda eventually drops the act. An odd friendship proceeds to form between the two. I’ve wanted to host one for a while now, and since its summer here in the northern hemisphere I figured now would be a good time to do it.Thanks so much to Rakusaru to putting in those awesome effects to make this look awesome!! She may also put some effects in the final MAP as well.IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not first come first serve. I will be picking more experienced animators for this project. If i don't reply to you, it probably means I didn't choose you. Please don’t take it personally if I don’t pick you. I will wait a day or so before assigning parts, so don’t rush reading the rules. DUE DATE: 7/25/15RULES1. This is a lineart MAP. Basically, you animate using only lineart against a background black. Here are some good examples of lineart MAPs (http://bit.ly/1eYI1Ga) (http://bit.ly/1AYj9It).2. USE THE COLOR SCHEME. THE ONE LINKED DOWN THERE. You must use the EXACT same color in the video for your part. So parts 1-12 and 17-23 would be blue and purple, and parts 13-16 would be yellow and light blue. Here is a link to the exact color scheme. (https://sta.sh/02ki95yelwx)3. If you’ve read the rules, put the word “ech” in your comment when you ask for a part.4. The theme is intensity. So make your part as intense as possible. Go crazy! Use as much animation, movement, and action as you possibly can.5. Make sure you have at least 10 different frames of animation in your entire part. But feel free to do much more!6. Your animations and the music work should together as one. Don’t just treat the music as some random noise that plays in the background. 7. Timing is VERY important in this MAP. So make sure you edit your part to match the music timing-wise. If you animation don’t match the music or is a little off, I will have to edit your animations to match the music in the final MAP.8. Only one part per person. However, you can list multiple parts in case the part you wants get taken and I want to include you in the MAP. If you list multiple parts, make sure you list them in the exact order you want them.9. Make sure your part is fullscreen. That means 1280x720 or 1920x1080 pixels. If you don’t use these resolutions, I will have to stretch your videos to fit the screen and it won’t look pretty.10. Original characters only. No canon characters (sonic, firestar, etc.). I may allow fan characters depending what they’re from. If you want to use a fan character, please comment on the video first and tell me what series they are from IN ADDITION to following all the rules listed here.11. No NSFW animation. And no guts. Keep it appropriate people! Blood and gore is allowed, but don’t go overboard.12. Don’t add any words or dialogue in your part. But if you have a good idea involving words in your part, run it by me and I might allow it.13. Don’t add a watermark or signature please!14. DO NOT CUT THE MUSIC YOURSELF.
