b3agzEver wondered how to make a simple plane controller in Unity using only the physics engine? Well, I did. And I made this video in case anyone is interested in seeing how I did it!
Using nought but a free plane model from the Unity Asset Store, I'll show you how to get a plane to take off, zip around the sky, and even get a spinning propeller and engine noises going. We also cover how to display airspeed, throttle percentage, and altitude on the screen. Just for the sake of appearances, we also set up a quick camera controller that allows us to switch between different viewpoints.
Thanks for watching!

Unity doesn't read audio in seconds, but in packets. It works fine for uncompressed audio, but compressed audio leads to unreliable timekeeping.
In this video we create a super simple script that allows us to keep in sync with the audio and trigger events to the beat. All we have to do is tell it the BPM of the track.

It would be particularly useful for a game where objects are generated procedurally, or items can be modified by the player and you can't realistically create a 2D image for every possible appearance the item could have.

This one is going to go over some methods/techniques for coding a game like 7 Days to Die in Unity. It will follow broadly the same format as the Minecraft series, though it will not be replacing that series (don't worry, it's not going anywhere!)

Nothing too fancy to begin with, but hopefully enough to get your worlds looking a bit more interesting. Now, about that lighting video...
So, all kinds of things went wrong with the lighting video that was *supposed* to be next. A hectic week kept me from recording when I'd planned to, my tiny brain kept me from figuring out how to do the lighting, my screen recorder crashed 20 minutes into an hour session without an error message (so I didn't notice) and then when I *did* record it all, I found a fatal bug in my method. During the recording. So that was fun.
So rather than fight the Universe over this one, I decided to make a different video for this week, and I'll try again with the lighting video for the NEXT Minecraft video.
