Midnight Potions Junk Journal, a design team project for Country Craft Creations Michelle Allen, A Creative Operation 2023-08-07 | Hi all! It's that time, Halloween is coming and I'm getting ready. I used a two-divider classification folder I had in my stash to create this fun junk journal. I combined a couple different kinds of papers, some coffee dyed and some inked, and the gorgeous paper collection Midnight Potions, and made this fun "spell book" that I think will be a perfect addition to my Halloween kitchen. I raided my stash and found printables from Pinterest to add to the journal. My youngest son had also given me Halloween themed junk journal ephemera/books that I also got images from. I plan to add to this as I go. I love this book!The "feather" pen was found at my local grocery store. In this tutorial I'll explain how I turned the folder into this journal, show you how to sew in the signatures using the pamphlet stitch, and how to make the little envelopes that I put in the journal. Today I have an album that is a take on the "Maze Card" design and also features a new way to add a closure to a waterfall, a paper clip closure. I hope you enjoy it.I'm using Photo Play's "Hello Lovely" paper collection and everything I used in this album is from Country Craft Creations, countrycraftcreations.com, except for one eyelet and two paperclipsI added from my stash. I'm using Artisan Cardstock in Summer Ivory and Peony Pink Felt for the album, and it does use one sheet of light weight chipboard. I hope you like my take on this card style. This is optional, you could just used patterned paper. I used a variety of things in my stash, including Tim Holtz, Paper Studio and 7 Gypsies products. I will show you how to make them. All you need is some ephemera, some bling, and a 6x6 piece of paper, the thinner the better. I was using some old papers I had from scrapbook paper pads. I used cardstock, ribbons and flowers from my stash, everything else was in the box. I thought that these would be amazing as additions to journals, and could also be used as a tag for presents too. There are plenty of spaces to journal/write on, and they are SO BEAUTIFUL!This tutorial is a pictorial. In the video there are shots of my notes...a diagram of the cutting and scoring, and instructions to the side on how to cut, score and glue to make the pockets. Smashing Simple Stories “Life in Bloom” Paper Collection Michelle Allen, A Creative Operation 2023-05-30 | I just wanted to share a quick video of the things I made with the leftovers I had from my Simple Stories "Life in Bloom" collection. I used a file from the Silhouette Design Store by Sophie Gallo, called "Poison Apple" (388750). I created a pocket page with mini apple notes and a divider page as well and bound it using my We R Memory Keepers disk punch with Happy Planner small disks. Michelle Allen, A Creative Operation 2023-05-20 | I have recently discovered a great scrapbooking store here in my area that is just wonderful. Cobblestone Creek Studios is a great brick and mortar and online store. This past weekend they had a "pizza box" sale, where whatever you could fit into a 16 x 16 pizza box was 40% off. I had to go check it out. Among some of the goodies I snagged were the Mintay "Garage" paper pad (6 x 8) and the Folio 2 by Photoplay. I made this album and just had to share it.
