This layout was created as part of the Pinkfresh Fridays hop that is organised by my lovely friend @JoanneBartell For my layout, I documented a series of photos of my daughter with the flowers she received on Valentine's Day. EASY EASTER IDEA | Scrapbook Process | Cocoa Vanilla Studio Sue Plumb Designs 2023-04-10 | Who doesn't love an Easter egg or two? I had the idea to create a cracked Easter egg as the basis of my page design with the photo seemingly coming from inside it. I used a simple template to trace out the egg, added some hand drawn grass as my anchor point and then finished it off with florals. I also used a splash of acrylic paint to add some colour to the background. And as much as I want to scrap photos of my children and document their memories, it is equally important to document some of my memories so they can know more about me. Scrapping retro photos can often be a challenge due to the colour & quality of the image. I encourage you to scrap some of them, even if they aren't perfect!When Gwen chose chipboard, I decided there and then to try and bust through some of the half-used chipboard sheets in my stash. During times like these, I often find a sketch is a great place to start. This layout features the Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Storyteller' collection and is inspired by a sketch from Page Maps. I kept it fairly simple by sticking closely to the sketch and added some subtle mixed media in the form of acrylic paint and ink splatters. Scrapbook Process: We Are Awesome for the Mix It Up Monday Hop Sue Plumb Designs 2022-03-14 | Scrapbook process video of my 12x12" mixed media scrapbook layout created for the Mix It Up Monday hop. The premise of this hop is to take a traditional scrapbook sketch and "mix it up" by creating a mixed media layout from it. The sketch we are using for this hop has been designed by Rochelle Spears. {You can find all the details and this month's participants below}I took the opportunity to do some stash-busting on this page and used a variety of items and brands from my stash. In addition to that, I also used lots of different media and techniques - acrylic paint, Distress Oxide, stamping, gauze, acetate, pencil, wire, staples...the list goes on!
