A tutorial on a movement tech I discovered yesterday + quick rundown of how swings work. Sorry if the wording is a bit too convoluted, english is not my first language.

Thanks for 1k.
Press parkour up just before the turnaround occurs. You can just spam it, although timing it offers more precision on back to back turnarounds. But don't hold it as that will (most likely) result in a swing.

A full run of the base game, with all these restrictions? Is this even possible? Well... it's complicated.
This challenge comes with a lot of limitations, some of which you might've seen explained in minute detail by Altair Stealth in the description of his similar video. But regardless, let's get a full rundown of all 6 restrictions:
- No Upgrades: Luckily, there are no caveats in this section. Playing and finishing the game is easily possible without as much as touching any of the skill and gear upgrades the game offers. This means functioning on a mission to mission basis while using equal to or less than: 6 phantom blades, 3 berserk blades, 5 smoke bombs, 5 cherry bombs; additional constraints that come with no upgrades include: an inability to efficiently overpower enemies in hand to hand combat (lvl 5 brute = 30 sword hits), low phantom blade damage (1 quickshot = 10 base sword hits), low stealth skills (fast detection rates, no double assassinations etc.). These constraints are easily operable without any other restrictions to adhere to, however:
- No Kills: This is entirely possible... outside of main assassination targets (and this random dude at 28:35). The game states in the first official assassination mission, "Confession", that assassination targets must be killed with the hidden blade, to which there is no workaround.
- No Detects: Scripted combat sections are here to ruin this one, and they're spread all throughout the game. Nevertheless, you might notice that, even in these forced combat sections, I *try* to keep detections to a minimum.
- No HUD: Here's where it gets interesting. Haven't Leo K and Altair Stealth done the same? Well of course, they have turned all (or most) heads-up display options off, but there are still elements which linger despite having turned "everything" off. That's where the "Toggle HUD" mod (Created by: TheJanitor on nexusmods) comes into play. ALL interface (including even my silhouette) is absolutely invisible at all times. No exceptions.
- No Smoke Bombs: This is yet another lucky case of no-cause-for-alarm. The entirety of the game can be played without dropping a damn smoke bomb! (I'm looking at you, Bellec). All you need is patience :) (and a bit of luck). In the past, I would have said that this restriction conflicts profoundly with the "no detects" restriction, however I later discovered that is not the case. You'll see.
- No Damage: Now hold the phone... no smoke bombs AND no damage? Yes it is possible. Barely, as you will see later in this video, except for... yep, you guessed it -- one scripted damage segment: the second part of "La Halle aux Bles". By my research and calculations, you take 1 tick of damage 4 seconds after you have gained control of your character, and once every 6 seconds afterwards. From the moment I take control to the first frame of the end cutscene, I estimate to have spent 68 seconds. That means 11 ticks of damage. For 10 ticks of damage, I would have to spend less than 64 seconds, which I'm pretty sure is impossible.
And one last thing. Please, for your own sake, do NOT attempt this challenge! The sole reason as to why I'm saying this is... "The Silversmith".
511 attempts. And I still had to splice it near the end. Mission's busted. Whether or not the game allows you to knock out a guard is a roll of the dice. For reference, let's assume you had a 75% chance to successfully knock out a single guard. You would only have a 0.027% chance to knock out *every single essential guard* in this mission. And with that in mind, I have a newfound respect for Altair Stealth.
Well... that's all I had to say here pretty much. Credits/Shoutouts in the pinned comment. Now here are the timestamps:

(remember this is only a small excerpt of the work I put into this video. A lot of the attempts are now deleted either because they were simply not noteworthy or because the bloopers repeated themselves. think every blooper here 5 to 10 times over)
