New Videos Every Monday! or more The Greatest Scooter Adventure in the World!youtu.be/0-QM5YXFN_QWith an island full of adventure, experiences and a thriller movie production under our belts already, we plunge into another 10 days of movie making magically motivated maneuvering in Moorea… That is, right after we take a swim the fishes. Most of the water surround the island of Mo’orea has a vast coral reef which makes the water very still and perfect for snorkeling. Bungelows are even situated over the reef waters for a picturesque settingThe most commonly encountered species of shark in The Islands of Tahiti are the famous black tip reef sharksThey have occasionally been known to bite people that are swimming or wading but do not pose a serious threat to humans. The International Shark Attack File (ISAF) has recorded just 11 unprovoked blacktip reef shark bites on humans since 1959The sting rays in Moorea are also very docile and almost seem behave like a dog nuzzling up to be fed, they can be quite persistent but were all very friendlyThe best way to approach a sting ray is to use a shuffling method in stead of wider steps. I myself as good practice decided to avoid the sting side of the rayDanny didn’t really kick the sting ray on purpose. What really happened was, Danny thought I had stopped recording, surfaced and started swimming away and in the process brushed the ray with his foot. We would never intentionally harm any living creature.The next area our guide brought us to had an old history attached, one about missionaries coming to the island in efforts to convert the Polynesians. Many converted straight away merely from hearing the impressive description of the missionaries ships soon to arrive.Missionaries urged the Polynesians to cast their idols into the sea. ,Still there was some push back and rebellion about this.The next day we visited a ranch the offers horse back tours through mountains terrain and grande views of large pineapple fields. Some of us crew got to experience the tour first hand as we worked on filming our movie. Our next set location provided the backdrop as a makeshift care facility for the movie posing as the Philippines. Also John died, well, mostly died. In concert with the medication he takes for Psoriasis, being exposed to the sun drains him immensely.Andy, having great connections in Moorea from his previous service mission and also knowing French and Tahitian was an indispensable asset to the production chain in getting many extras for these scenes. After completing scenes where our characters quote un quote “find whales”, without actually finding whales since they were being a bit illusive to us. We headed back, and then to a local village where a chief had recruited his family which all live in the same area to be the extras playing as our quote un quote, “Philippine villagers”. Another day began and this time with a large air B and B unit of the production showcasing an amazing property with many rooms, gardens, views, a pool and various animals meandering under foot, so, in MTV cribs style I just couldn’t resist giving you a thorough walkthrough.The next day would become one of the greatest and most rain soaked adventures I had ever embarked on. It deserved a video of its own and can be found here on my channel on the following link and down in the description below. If you or anyone you know is planning a trip to Mo’orea it’s definitely worth a watch.Our second to last day on the island consisted of getting a few extra shots of cast swimming in the water. There was a nice sense of accomplishment completing such a long run of work days with back to back movies, a thriller and then a romance so a little partying was much anticipated with some silly sea shanties singing soulfully. The night couldn’t be complete with some series shark sights and a smidge of attempted murder.Out of all the island locations I have visited and worked on, Tahiti is on the top of my list in so many regards. We had stayed nearly a month, completed production on two movies back to back, met many wonderful people and gained an everlasting memory of something that can hardly be described in mere words. A thriller called “Stalked in Paradise” and a romance called “Identical Love”We filmed out there for nearly a month, it was amazing! It's also my favorite of the islands we have visited to work on.With the high mountainous vistas overlooking multiple ocean bays, lush green jungles and the breathtaking stillness of the ocean surrounding the island, I couldn’t have dreamed about working in such a place but then there I was!With one of the two movies completed it was time for our day off.Trying to min max my time so to speak by making the most of my day off in such a wonderful place, I joined a group looking to go whale watching.While the surfers surfed and the pod of dolphins passed by we listened to the horrors of shark attacks with explicit detail by our French charter captain, once in French and another time in English, that took about 25 minutes. We also saw lots of humans on boats passing by along the way.We couldn’t quite get close enough… Thats what I said… Maybe this is all just montage footage… yeahEven though far away, some whales were in fact spotted breaching, However, poor Mason had had enough, we flipped around and headed back.Chapter 2 - Scooters!Now THIS is what I'M talkin about! John, Scott, Sean and I had reserved scooters to go explore the island, we didn’t have much of a plan more than, LETS GO! Also, Just a heads up when planning a scooter outing on Moorea, Get your motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license to be able get the scooter with the bigger motor, trust me, its worth it! and consider bringing some kind of rain gear.. Just in case.\The adventure continues...We had decided to make a turn down any major looking street to further expand our adventuresA little... erm, or a lot of rain wasn’t going to stop our adventures.. We continued making the turnsThis catholic influenced church was built in 1897 by Pascuan masons. It’s a replica of the Saint-Michel des Gambier cathedral made in coralIts silhouette with its two bell towers against a backdrop of greenery and the mountain peak of Mou’aroa, continues to inspire many painters.The altar in the church garden was made from two ancient carved stones built around 900 AD enclosed in coral slabsThe path was seemingly long and in those rainy moments the terrain felt as if it were uphill both ways. However, in the end the view alone that await, was a triumph, for-our-adventure had come to a proverbial and literal peak.The last ounce of strength was pressed out of Johns scooter finally eeking him to the top, allowing him to rest his eyes upon the vast splendor which was the Belvedere overlook.Chapter 3 - CoastingWell, we managed to get johns bike coasting all they way back down and returned, but we had one final mission to complete… food!Welcome to my channel! my name is Paul D. I was granted it on conditions of the found items remain theirs. I was very excited as you may well see in the video. I had a great time but didn't want to take up my buddy Dannys entire singular day off. But we set off and had some fun. The land owner allowed me to keep what I found actually, (since it wasn't gold or anything really worth much, which I failed to mention, yes I got to keep the finds.) Volunteering his skills and time with crafts, art, programs, puppeteering, entertaining and so much more. I remember him doing puppet shows, getting me my first library card and instilling in me such a responsibility as borrowing precious property and returning it in a timely manor and he has done this for countless other children over more than four decades. It's the end of an era and a bit sad to see his demeanor as he is sort of pushed out the door of this place he pretty much called home for so long. I got Covid! - Paul Green Vlogs ep205 Paul D Green 2021-02-23 | On feb 1st 2021 I came down with intense symptoms for Covid 19 and sure enough with a hospital nasal swab test I was positive. I have spend the last 21 days in bed pretty much. It was not a quick one for me like some, but so so grateful is wasn't worse, because I think death would have been next. I am finally feeling better as of the 21st with some residual things like taste and smell being messed up. Specially with tooth paste, it is horrible and of course the fatigue that most people with covid experience well after. Im ready to get well and to do some things with this channel. Winter proved to be quite windy and rainy but it was still an amazing adventure.
