In fact, it probably took years to develop the intense anger and resentment that Scar felt toward Mufasa and his Pride in The Lion King. But when push came to shove, everyone, mainly Scar, decided that the crown should fall onto the shoulders of Kovu, the main protagonist of The Lion King 2: Simba’s pride. Beyond that though, fans learned throughout the movie that Scar and many of the other lions that became known as the Outlanders had neglected Nuka, and continued to neglect him all the way up to his death in the film. And for a while, it just felt like that was sort of Nuka’s role in the movie. Looking back on it, there may have been an actual reason that Nuka was treated in such a horrible way.
