This was first viewed in the Video Production Marathon Part 2 to my friends as a secret project. I worked on this a couple months ago to test myself, to see how good of a video editor that I am now compared to before. Well for those that don't know, I am a big daiki kasho fan myself, and I was fascinated when I found out some years ago that he even did a mini live concert during an online Gran Turismo championshipWell the event was live streamed, on a service called UStream, which was recently bought out I found. Even back then, their streams were archived, for only a few weeks. So me finding out years later, there was no way for me to download and save them up. Thankfully a good amount of people were able to upload the footage of this concert, although only in bits and pieces, so that's where this full upload comes into playNow I know this video isn't going to be perfect, as I had to work around a few thingsI was lucky to find out that the Drum & Bass version of FLOW (that played before the concert) was saved in the wayback machine, as well as the video itself. So I downloaded that and put that in the beginning because I figure people would want to listen to that. Reason is the original video showcasing that was taken downAs for the video sounding a little bit loud (unless YouTube decides to lower the video down themselves), it's because the original videos I gathered sounded a little quiet on my end. So I increased the audio gain by 7dB, as I wanted to make it sound as loud as the original songs you would find on the official GT soundtracks. I didn't increase it for the 1st performance of SURV1V3 as that one was going through audio issues. If you have a problem with it, well deal with it, this was designed for my own personal preference, and so people can at least hear what they're saying as well as the music tooThe end of the 5OUL ON D!SPLAY performance was cut off for some reason. Within the original link of the last part of the UStream in the wayback archive, I saw it lasted about 15 minutes, which could mean that the concert played in Part 2 initially, but was cut off around that point after it ran for 3 hours, so it had to go to a 3rd part. Luckily to complete the song, I found a recording from a fan who was at the event, who mainly got Kazunori Yamauchi dancing to the songs. I put that in so that explains the video/audio change at the end of it, but at least you won't be left with an incomplete 5OUL ON D!SPLAYAnd I can't do anything about the end of the video performing at less frames than the majority part of the video. It was captured by someone else on YouTubeBig credits and thanks to the ones listed for being at the event, and/or uploading the concert onto YouTube, even if it was in bits and pieces. The sole purpose of this upload was to piece them all together and enjoy the concert in 1 single video, even if I had to do a little bit of work to make it at least watchableAnd this may be a last stretch to ask, but if daiki kasho himself or anyone working at Polyphony stumbles across this video, I'd like to say this: Kasho-san, your works are amazing and I really admire the music you create. Polaroid Abuse Counter Racerfan Xtras 2024-06-24 | During the final week of production, one of the scenes had to show Alex kicking the polaroid towards under the table, but it was difficult because the way we had to get the shot, we couldn't get it right as we would always kick it somewhere else than the desired spot, or just flat out hit it towards the legs of the table. Behind-the-Scenes - Week 1 Racerfan Xtras 2024-06-21 | This is the beginning of my Behind-the-Scenes Producer work, as working on this short was spent primarily over 4 weeks, essentially the entire of October and because I gathered so much footage of production, I decided to split these up so they can be focused primarily on the week that we worked on the film. Also this is the producer's cut of the BTS as well. I originally made 2 versions, the final version that was supposed to be posted on Lane's channel, and the producer's cut just for my own pleasure. Video Production Marathon Bonus Part/Finale (ft. Lane, Kaden, Spencer & Shawn) Racerfan Xtras 2024-06-16 | The Video Production Marathon is finally coming to a close. This bonus part wasn't originally intended to be made, but after some thinking by Kaden and the fact that we couldn't do this directly after watching the Advanced Video Production projects in part 2, 1 year later we have finally reunited to give this marathon a proper close. This bonus part consists of live-action skits we made that wasn't part of Video Production class, including a 1st look on a couple of new videos that will come out right after this video, as well as a daily upload plan for the next 2 weeks (including today)Edit (9/30/2024) - I apologize to everyone that the video was blocked for a few days. This was all due to a dispute between YouTube and SESAC, an organization that deals in licenses with well-known music artists. One of his tracks which doesn't get as much recognition because this track doesn't appear in much games is 'Flow'. Now the track debuted in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, but out of all the uploads of this track on YouTube, there isn't really a high quality version which makes it a little hard to listen to. Thankfully, this track appears in the new Gran Turismo 7 game that came out last week, I was able to record playing it on my capture card, exported it into an MP3 file in editing, exported this in video form and now uploaded it to you all. School Projects Developer Commentary Series - #16 (45-Minute Video) Racerfan Xtras 2021-12-29 | Junior students in our school was doing ACT testing, I was one of them. That meant all the other grade students got to sleep in and only showed up in the afternoon portion of the day, effectively making this day a half day. Our class went from 90 minutes to 45 minutes that day, so our teacher issued us a challenge to pair up with someone and to film a video in under the 45-minute time limit. School Projects Developer Commentary Series - #14 (After-Effects) Racerfan Xtras 2021-12-27 | For this project, we were introduced to Adobe After-Effects. This project given to us was a bit of a difficult one, we were tasked with shooting scenes of someone getting hit by a car. Obviously we shouldn't actually do that. We had to film separate scenes of the two actions, and then use Adobe After-Effects to make an edit of that scene to make it look like someone's getting hit by a car.
