Trash Talkin’ || Ashfur and Bramblestar MAP || Part 24 CQ Studios 2024-01-04 | So when I finished my last MAP part I said I’d work on some of my KH animations for a bit —and I did, I promise, I promise— but, uhhh, as it turns out I know myself, because I didn’t just go “Ooh shiny” once, I took on two parts lol(Oh KH animations, you’re in purgatory again but you will get finished eventually)About the actual part though. I love this song, I love The Broken Code, I love drawing Ashfur being the most dramatic guy on the planet, so obviously I had to take part in this MAP. I won’t lie it took me a bit longer than I thought it would (and than I wanted it to) but I guess that makes sense because I was doing something new. And that something new that took up the majority of my time was the walk cycle and ripples.Man, that whole shot took the soul out of me more times than I can count. Animation Dump (2023) CQ Studios 2023-10-15 | Just some miscellaneous animations I made this year (and late last year). Pretty obvious but sometimes I forget lolI saw this MAP and joined it on an impulse because I liked the designs. Don’t know what came over me when I decided to do AMV with said designs though.The zoom out was a new thing for me. I did it the same way I did tweening for Saathi Re. It was much easier though (and had much fewer video files lol). No green screen, less layers.I enjoyed the break from my (several) Kingdom Hearts animation WIPs but now I feel ready to get back to them and hopefully get them done. Saathi Re || OC MAP || Part 25 CQ Studios 2023-03-26 | Apparently this is my 101st video, that’s a milestone of course but somehow I missed my 100th being my 100th lolLyric Translation: “Our footsteps are yet to meet”Story Explanation:In the left panel is Phosphorus’ (the white one’s) dream/memory of him hanging out with his siblings. The right panel takes place after his siblings’ deaths they all surround him to comfort him as he sleeps since he’s not used to being alone at night.Saathi Re was an experimental MAP so I decided to go all in on a new way of editing and tweening for this part. And if course I did it in the cheapest way possible, using the green screen feature on iMovie. It was a lot of trial and error trying to get the sizes right and the paths to line up properly. I think by the end I had about 300 (not an exaggeration by the way lol) videos of green screen for this part, since I couldn’t see the rest of the animation when I was trying to get everything to line up. It was a mess, yes.Will I do it again something like it again? Probably. Will it be a joyous experience? It’s a wonder I got this far when I rarely ever finish much smaller personal projects. The power of my Union X hyperfixation I guess.But wait, did you think the production hell statement was only motivation based? No. No it really wasn’t.Here’s a curated list of events that this PMV somehow survived:- Several levels of art block- The death of a Grandparent- My animation app completely breaking and me having to find a new one about half way through production (luckily not much was lost but I did have to screen record what I had done)-A one month break for Art Fight (normally when I stop working on something my motivation to go back to it tanks)-My old iPad completely breaking and me having to get a new one (resulting in 3 frames lost, all including the lifeboat, another month with no progress, and me having to re-edit what I already had finished)-The release of the rest Dark Road (My brain changed gears for a week or two after that came out, didn’t last tho lol)-A song fic being made inspired by my song and character choices (not an obstacle just a fun fact I guess lol)-Me getting Covid-And the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (which seems like it has nothing to do with this but it does)Anyways KHUX, amirite?Hey 3 other people Union X fandom, it’s been like, a year and a half since our game finished now, isn’t that insane. I still haven’t moved on. I’m still riding on that hype. My feelings are still hurt (in a good way) by how it ended. I even looped someone else into the fandom while I was working on this. There’s four of us now! We can spread out our suffering (due to lack of new content fan or otherwise) even more!Of course I’ll continue to make Union X content, don’t get me wrong. Legend has it after I do like, 1 Warrior Cats MAP part I’ll be heading back to the KHUX kids and animating another PMV, or Animatic, or, God forbid, an AMV (Please don’t do that to yourself CQ, you have so much to live for). I said in the description of the last video that I was gonna work on the Choice Meme next, but I guess I lied because I had this idea and it was short and it was simple and it possessed me. I did all the idea having, idea scripting, and animatic making in one sitting, okay? It was only like 3 hours of my timeWill I finish this? Probably actually. There’s only like 10 frames and I mean it’s almost time for more KH news (….hopefully…..) and if we get Missing Link news….I’m not even sure if it’s clear what’s happening but it will be when it’s done, promise lolTo clarify thoughThe first shot is Player whilst being shot by Ephemer flying into the PortalThe second shot literally says exactly what it’s going to be, I was to lazy to animate it at the time lolThe third shot is Ephemer feeling real bad about killing his friendThen it’s his Lifeboat hitting in the wreckageThe next two shots he stares out at the destructionSecond to last frame we fade the wreckage into (ML Era) Scala ad Caelum, specifically Ephemer’s statueIn the final version there’ll be some 3D camera effect and it’ll pan down to show (ML) Player (who is probably most definitely “Bluehood” and by extension KHUX Player) looking up at their old friend’s statueI also realize that in the first section I’m pretty much animating the same scene as my “Safe and Sound” PMV but… um… the framing is different and, uh, so many of my KHUX animation ideas seem to include it so get used to seeing Ephemer shoot Player. Ava’s Interlude || KHUX PMV CQ Studios 2023-01-03 | I did this in 5 days.5 days.My last PMV took me 7 months and this took 5 days.Motivation is certainly something lolObviously, this one is a lot more rough then Safe and Sound. It was originally supposed to just be an animatic so I could get the idea out of my head. I need to work on a MAP part and it wasn’t letting me focus on that. Now that I have this done though, watch out MAP part here I come!CONTEXT:So this PMV is a non-canon scene where Brain receives a letter from Ava about how she is going to take part in the Keyblade War. I normally try to stick to more canon events in my animations but I heard this audio and said “screw it headcannon time” lolI’m going off two assumptions here. A) that Ava and Brain were friends before the war, which is a pretty common headcannon, I think? And B) That Ava told Brain at some point that she was going to try her best to stop the war, and if worst comes to worse, flee with the Dandelions. She doesn’t in the end, of course, because whatever Luxu told her convinced her to take part in the battle. So in this animation she sends word to Brain that she will not be going with the Dandelions, and will be accepting her fate. Expression Practice to Prove I’m not Dead CQ Studios 2022-11-19 | Hey, I’m not dead! The Safe and Sound PMV has been taking up all my animation motivation since I started it so I kinda disappeared for a while there. It’s almost done now (3 frames left!) and I’m hoping to have it finished and posted by December (don’t quote me on that tho lol). As for this animation: I wanted to take a break from drawing humans and animate a cat again. It was supposed to be a quick animation practice, just a low detail sketch, but I ended up getting a bit carried away and colouring and even shading it. I’m really happy with how it came out!

I’m over half way done!I’m gonna finish this one folks, I swear to god! I’m still working on The Bridge and I’m gonna get that done too. But this one was short and I need to get some KH animation ideas off my chest, so here is the first WIP for Empty Crown! It’s mostly just Ava being like “Aw, why’d this war have to happen, man?” and then Kingdom Hearts shows up and she’s like “Wow! That’s beautiful. I wish 20 million people didn’t have to die for me to see it.” I might make a video soon showing off some of my other KH animation ideas, and if there’s interest I might make a MAP.... who am I kidding? I’m probably gonna end up making a MAP anyways and it’ll never get done lol

Walls Could Talk || Traditional Catified Ventus PMV (KHUX Spoilers) CQ Studios 2020-09-01 | It’s Done! I’m pretty sure this is the longest PMV I’ve actually finished since the first video on my channel. I’m hoping to get better at actually finishing things I start. So this is a catified Kingdom Hearts PMV. I started working on it before actually watching the cutscene myself, that’s why in some parts it’s inaccurate.(Edit: So I finished/uploaded this literally one day before the JP update that shows how she died comes out, lol! I was kinda right?)
In Fact || (Catified) Xion Animatic (Spoilers for KH 358/2 Days + 3) CQ Studios 2020-08-28 | So I kinda headcannon that Xion doesn’t really forgive Isa for being a big jerk towards her and Roxas the entire time they were in the organization. Especially since (Correct me if I’m wrong) there isn’t a scene where Isa apologizes to them for everything. This PMV is supposed to be Xion remembering a lot of the stuff she had to go through then telling Isa that, no matter what the others think, she doesn’t want to be his friend.I randomly had the idea for the PMV idea so I quickly scribbled it out. I might finish this but I’m not sure. I don’t know if you can tell but I’m bad at finishing personal projects. Side note: I’m still going to finish the Walls Could Talk PMV I just had to get this idea out of my head first.
