DIY Ebru Marbling at Home Crystal Shaulis 2016-03-07 | Visit my store! --lakemichiganbookpress.comI received an email from a friend about using liquid laundry starch to do a variation on Turkish Ebru paper marbling - unable to find it locally, I decided to give the cornstarch option a try. It's not the greatest, but it technically works. This option is nice if you want to try ebru marbling but want to use materials on hand rather than purchasing methyl cellulose or carrageenan online. The results aren't very defined and the colors become muddled.

Simply pour water into a tray and gently touch your inked paintbrush to the surface of the water to draw the ink out. Sewing a French Link and Coptic Stitch Book Crystal Shaulis 2015-11-15 | This is an update to my other French-link and Coptic stitch video. Instead of punching sewing stations into the covers for every sewing station in the signatures, I only made 2, one for each Coptic-sewn area. After the sewing was finished, a matching end page was glued to the front and back covers.The French-link and Coptic-stitch combination is a beautiful exposed spine binding that is much quicker than a strictly Coptic binding and also uses less thread as it uses one needle rather than multiple. Making a book inspired by Vensers Journal from Magic: The Gathering (custom order) Crystal Shaulis 2015-10-11 | I recently received a custom order request for one of my journals in the ladder-stitched style and inspired by Venser’s Journal from Magic: The Gathering. It’s a surprise present for a woman’s friend who is a big fan of the card game.
