CONCLUSIONS | 120p 3K RAW on Canon R5 C Ash von Chamier 2022-07-30 | My conclusions so far upon having tested 120p in 3K RAW on the Canon EOS R5 C and comparing it to it's 4K XF-AVC option. I also compare it to the 120p on my RED Epic Dragon. Canon R5C | 120p 3K RAW vs 4K XF-AVC Ash von Chamier 2022-07-25 | A collection of SLOW MOTION shots filmed on the new Canon EOS R5 C at 120fps in 3K RAW, 4K XF-AVC, and even some 2K XF-AVC which also holds up amazingly well. The Canon R5C is continuing to impress me when I get to play with the footage. The 4K 120p slow mo has been a bit criticized for being soft and no that great but I was really happy with most of the shot results. The 3K RAW definitely had a more noise, but I think it is just more sensitive to any shots that might get underexposed. I am still trying to determine which mode I prefer better but this testing got me WAY closer to the conclusion I will inevitably arrive at. Canon R5C Digital IS Has Crazy Huge Crop (Beware) Ash von Chamier 2022-07-08 | If you are planning on relying on DIGITAL IS in it's full mode, just be aware how much of crazy huge the crop is. Because I had been filming almost exclusively in RAW (which doesn't offer DIGTIAL IS), I had forgotten this mode had been turned on was having trouble getting my full frame look out of my new Canon EOS R5C when in 4K XF-AVC. Funny little story in here about that and examples of the surprisingly large crop factor we are talking about. CANON R5C - Pushing Looks & Matching To My RED Ash von Chamier 2022-06-25 | My first couple of weeks filming with the New Canon EOS R5C has been awesome. Camera matching to my RED EPIC DRAGON with ease. Here are a bunch of little shots color graded with extreme looks to see how the RAW and XF-AVC hold up in color grades. Everything was colored in Premier Pro with Lumetri, combinations of Luts at different opacities, and Red Giants Magic Bullets Color Suite. Shots are from various testing, some from the web series we are filming, and some from the upcoming Chevelle Tribute car product video coming out from Trans Am Worldwide soon.
