Sektori [Redeemer Revolution]: Campaign ALL clear w/ True ending (2025 Kimmo Lahtinen)
updated
Max difficulty with random players is fun recently, most people seem to have gotten used to the game and mechs help a lot (even if someone has them equipped normally).
I was surprised we managed to get the main objective in this run considering how badly things started. I think this is one of the cleaner games I've played against terminid. This weapon loadout is very ignorant though.
I don't see the point of complaining about current state of the highest difficulty mode when you can beat it with such unorganized play and still be ignorant of most threats with a shield backpack. Terminids could really use more enemy types for variety though. The way difficulty increase is increasing the count of 2 heavy enemies is the boring part. Automatons have way more variants of enemies and seem more complete.
Music disabled since I was listening to something else.
I had Link Time on previous attempts but because this was faster it didn't charge up... scary.
Not really a fan of Proto Bahamut, turret gimmick into basic DPS check and not really a climax of what you've been learning through the game.
Funny game but also super simple and easy. Makes me want to give Shock Troopers a shot again..
Scoring is probably fun. Grenade kills get a multiplier based on simultaneous enemy kills & bullet erases.
Small score-attack game released at Comiket 71. This is a really fun caravan stage.
Credits appear to be as follows (based on readme):
Planning: Nobuya Narita
Programmer: Hayasaka
Graphics: Takehiko Wagatsuma
Music: Raito
A full-length game was planned but never released.
Fun and easy caravan style shooter (Zanac, Star Soldier etc.)
Slow movement not used, didn't know it exists.

I think the game was more interesting with base equipment. This is probably doable with it, I got up to Ancient Codex but the amount of remaining lifebars was discouraging.

God game, the control and patterns feel just right. It's nice that Speedrun mode squeezes 8 stages into 30 minutes of action based on how fast you clear out enemies. Wish it didn't purely track time though since the rest of the scoring system is lost. Def want to use the hyper type bomb instead here, making this mode more unique with this shot type in the process.
Higher projectile velocity & burst DPS than Rantetsus but the magazine size is awkward. Longer effective range means you're competing with less cursed things..
Still basically outclassed by amped laser pistols in this role apart from impact force (rapid fire high muzzle velocity mid range)
I need to set a better bind for manual reloads..
10mil+ scores should be possible here with near no-miss..
Mixed with other music since my game capture had no audio.
I was a little worried I wouldn't like the scoring system in this but having put some time into it I think its quite solid and encourages cool tricks along with survival (to not drop medal count for end bonus). High level replays should look great.
Older video of my first clear with game audio & music: youtube.com/watch?v=DFMS8CY5B0Q
Score potential for normal mode seems to be around 6mil.
BGM:
Keishi Yonao - Tear Drop - Lucid*dREAm
Chihiro Onitsuka & Keiichi Okabe - This Silence Is Mine - Drag-On Dragoon 3
Very ugly run until the last boss fight. Was focusing on clearing but want to do better. Score is abysmal, a balanced run would be 5M+
0st\\Ranger IF 1.0.1 clear - ST1
Somehow cleared this one on the first try..
Painful unless you spec out to kill things as fast as possible..
One failed run and the successful one right after.
What a fight..
First attempt.
Not sure why these legs are called biped. looks like a middle step between reverse joints.
Main AC by the end (Conquest play): ZAA-RL-dualist
Long range sniper support, Recon, Hacking
High power laser blades as backup/oneshot backstab potential
Fisherman legs, TOKONATSU boosters, Hacking spec head
Ended up diverging towards a strange build but it's pretty effective used on hacking point maps. IIRC the head has both high hacking and melee performance which is a good synergy for this AC. The melee weapons perform fine in close range despite the narrow FCS so thats a bit of synergy/balance as well.
I played mostly Conquest with a set team in ACVD so had a more focused role and less divergence to other kinds of builds. Used more variety when playing as mercenary.
I didn't play much on the final balance patch though as the release of it was massively delayed on worldwide server. By then a lot of people had moved to PS3 japan server (main way to play) or dropped the game.
For the first year or two I played on one of the top ranking teams on EU 360 side (I think it was top 3 teams by activity/points rankings in both NA/EU around launch).
I worked on a couple UNACs.. this one performs alright for 1v1 testing but was always abysmal in actual team games. This archetype is just bad probably.
As you can see in this conquest match I had.. youtube.com/watch?v=yMWjBgrio6E
Sloppy run at hardcore mode here (was revisiting the game so quite rusty): twitch.tv/videos/73722567

00:00 AC Data
11:25 'dualist' test run
14:10 AC Data 2
23:30 UNAC Data & test
29:30 Player Data & Leaderboards
main ACs in the end:
1 Pure-RLlrs tTypeJL - high jump LRJ w/ precure FCS, shinatsu & 1400KE/900TE
2 Inhert MTkara - m-biped for close range assault in maps with good walljump coverage. EN AMP using pulse gun & karasawa for mid-range
names & decals mostly correspond to the teams I was in.
I remember the sniper build being way better in free battle than it has any right to be after mastering the controls, considering how unwieldy the energy management and FCS can be.

There is a similar upload on youtube but the tracks cut off at around 2 minutes.
For something similar check "Cyberphonic II" which is also collaboration between Yonao and Umemoto.
