Yamaha XS400. 3M Knifeless Gurvan 2023-05-14 | I finally managed to clean my gas tank from a Yamaha XS400 1979, with a decent paint job on it done by the previous owner which I've been wanting to change... I tried peelable paint, which works but rough texture... So finally trying vinyl wrapping it since you can find pretty much any color or style... Here I have some Copper Vivid commercial grade wrap, and 3M knifeless tape single line.First piece is on, that was some work! it's not perfect and will have to find a way to recut the ends... will see. How to Burn Wood to Preserve, Yakisugi aka Shou Sugi Ban Gurvan 2023-02-11 | Showing how I burned the decking for a friend's project, the ancestral and now trendy wood finishing called Shou Sugi Ban, or Yakisugi.Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. Yaki means to heat with fire, and sugi is cypress. It is referred to in the West as burnt timber cladding and also known as shou sugi ban (焼杉板) which uses the same kanji characters but an incorrect pronunciation. The ban character means "plank".By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable. Trees need some Love too ! #Shorts Gurvan 2023-01-21 | A lil' peak at a some landscaping to help that pond and all trees surrounding it. First fixed the broken bridge blocking the inlet stream and gathering debris and soil, it quickly came back to sand naturally, with some help raking the grossness out, repair the edge of the stream a little bit...Then to my trusted pole saw with which I can easily cut 16' or 5m up the trees, giving them all a much deserved trim, good for the eyes, literally, when at eye level, but for the esthetics, for the quality of lumber (keep it straight with less knots), and protect from Fire, as the lower dry branch help fueling the fire upward to the canopy. And then a lot of walking and moving branches around to different fire pits !It is good to realize Trees and plants in general are beings too, on a different timeline, they communicate to one another and are much smarter than it first appear. They deserve our care, and they deserve to be prune, and some, taken down to keep the healthy, healthy. Surviving the Paintball Battlefield: Epic FPV Paintball Photography at Mirabels Tippmann Challenge Gurvan 2023-01-20 | Once Photographer and Referee for the famous Paintball Mirabel (3 years), the yearly Tippmann challenge was just the cherry on top for the amount of fun and action packed work for me to catch as many great memories as possible!People are there to have fun, vent and let go of daily stress, from super tactical geared up folks to Karen from your office... and they'd all love a good picture of it!On this video I show the Tippmann challenge from 2011, an insane 3 days event with over 1000 players !! Two years in a row they even had me in an helicopter to take pictures from above!
