I MADE PHO 🍜 best authentic vietnamese pho recipe DR. LILI T MAC 2019-07-25 | watch me adult in my very first cooking tutorial on how to make authentic vietnamese pho the traditional nguoi vietnam wayyyy okayyy. Lmk if any questions!!*The key is in the broth, which gets simmered for at least 6 hours*:･ﾟHERE FOR U:4 pounds beef soup bones2 onion, unpeeled and cut in half2-3 large pieces of fresh ginger1 tablespoon salt or 2 1/2 tablespoons fish sauce1-2 large rock sugar2 pods star anise4 quarts water 1 (8 ounce) package dried rice noodles1 1/2 pounds beef top sirloin, thinly sliced1/2 cup chopped cilantro1 tablespoon chopped green onion1 1/2 cups bean sproutsThai basilLimes, cut into 4 wedges eachHoisin sauceSrirachaPreboil bones in water for 10 minutes, dump out and wash bones again, refill with water so that you have a nice clear broth!! ***also do not cover the pot with a lid while simmering to further ensure clear broth***Char grill/toast onions and gingerPlace bones, onion, ginger, salt, and fish sauce in a large stockpot and cover with 4 quarts of water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer low for 6 to 10 hours. Add toasted star anise, cloves, cardamom, etc into spice bag or spice ball within 2 hours before serving.Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch noodles for 20s to 1 minute.Divide noodles ; top with sirloin, cilantro, and green onion. Pour hot broth over the top. Stir and let sit until the beef is partially cooked and no longer pink, 1 to 2 minutes.
