Casey and LaPresta, who are the musicians in the band, are setting up for a show when they start discussing the new sound that Wildman has. LaPresta doesn't believe Wildman has the guts to get back no stage so she doesn't believe Casey. Casey then tells the tail of Wildman and the dog funeral, and how he heard Wildman sing. Tucker Smith was in the pack doing tricks on every jump. Wildman was in the fold showing me the secrets of the Wetlands and snapping photos from the sidelines. In this video I walk through my steps to take better photos. Step one starts with Location Scouting. Go out, find the location you want to shoot, so you can start doing all the pre-vis work. Step two is actually Pre-Visualization. Getting your ideas together on the computer so you can properly execute the shoot. Step Three is all about casting the proper subject, or getting them ready for the shoot. Step four, lets get the gear in order. In this video I used the Canon EOS R6, the Godox AD 200 Strobe, and the CANON RF 24-70mm Lens. With all this in order, the next step is to get your Wardrobe and Props ready. Lastly, get to location a few minutes early, test out your settings. Like many people on the internet, I was confused why canon released the R6 with only a 20.1 MP Sensor, when the Canon 5D MK IV and Canon R, where both coming in at roughly 30 MP.And compared to the 45 MP of the Canon EOS R5 it felt like you would be spending a lot of money on an inferior camera. After buying the Canon R6 and shooting a couple thousand photos I was extremely pleased with the camera. Just recently, I learned about Adobe Super Resolution, and it takes the images up to 79.8 MP. Making things pretty massive of the resolution front.I am extremely blown away by how clean the images work, and I feel this really changes things for anyone considering buying the Canon EOS R6 or EOS R5. Exploring Solvang | A Mini Movie For Our Girls TomMorrisFilm 2021-03-17 | Katie and I set off up the coast of California to explore Solvang, California. We jumped on the booshie trend of having a baby moon, and spent some time together before our girls arrive.Our little twin girls are due at the end of April and we wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of LA to spend sometime together before they arrive. Solvang, California is just north of Santa Barbara and is different enough to feel like you are someplace else. We jammed up the coast, taking in the beautiful drive on the PCH, and explored all the things Solvang had to offer.The highlight of the trip was probably Ostrich World. The birds were big and scary at times, but it was a very unique experience. We also had an awesome time at Surf Beach. It's just a quick drive through Lompoc.We stayed at the Sideways Inn and would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling up. This is a formula that has worked time and time again for me.There are no quick, instant, easy schemes in here, just some hard truths based on sciences and algorithms. I was averaging about 20-30 likes per photo and after doing the three steps I outline in this video, I get around 140-200 per post!Part One: You need a social media cleanse. We are going to start by deleting the instagram app from your phone, and deactivating your account on the instagram desktop app. It won't only be good for you to take a break from instagram, but it'll do the algorithm some damage. The instagram algorithm is going to get jealous and sad and bummed out that you aren't using the app. They will try to lure you back in, they will try to get you with some email notifications, but DO NOT CLICK. We are taking 30 days off.Part Two: You are going to go out and shoot a ton of photos, pressure free. Let's pick up a camera, or your smart phone, and go out and shoot photos non-stop. I'm talking about you taking 30 photography a day for 30 days straight. You are going to try out new things, you are going to take photos like you never have before, and you won't let instagram crush your creativity. You are just going to shoot for you, and find the photography that you like!Part Three: Re-birth. After thirty days and 300 images later, it's time to re-launch instagram. Log back in. And start by posting your first BANGER POST. You'll post a carousel of images, a nice hearty description, and when people start to like and comment, you comment back. This will trigger the algorithm to tell everyone you are back, and you need some love, so you don't go away. Then a bunch more people will comment and post, then you'll comment back, and it'll create a comment frenzy, and you'll start to beat the instagram algorithm.More about me:Hi! My name is Tom. Over the past decade I have been fortunate enough to Direct/Produce Four Feature Films, hundreds of commercials, multiple shorts, music videos, and web series, but I still find myself working on set in multiple crew positions.I do believe there is value in working multiple crew positions on set, while you're building your career as a director. This video breaks down my top 5 reasons for working multiple crew positions.Reason One: Experience. You have to start someplace, and there is nothing like being on a film set, aside from actually being on a film set. When you're starting out, it's easier to get on a big production as one of the hundred crew positions, before you can get hired as a director.Reason Two: Understanding all of the Roles. There are a lot of departments, crew positions, and people involved with making films. Getting on set in any capacity gives you the ability to start seeing how the whole thing operates.Reason Three: LOGISTICS. This is similar two reason two, but with a twist. If you are getting on set, and paying attention to how all the moving pieces come together, you can start learning the rhyme and reason to why things happen the way they do, and how all of pieces work together to lead to a successful shoot.Reason Four: Meeting People. Most people on set are trying to get to another level. When you work on set you get to be apart of the camaraderie that comes with working long hours, and brining a film over the finish line. When you meet people on set, you can get them excited about your project and help each other climb the ladder of getting projects made.Reason Five: MONEY. There is no sugar coating it. When you are trying to make it in Los Angeles, or any big city, as a filmmaker, getting on set is one of the best ways to make some cash, learn, and have fun. If you get good at playing the game, you can start getting booked often and work on a lot of projects. Lindsey Stirling and I collaborated on writing the concept, designing the visuals, and bringing the story of Roundtable Rival to life. In this video, I breakdown the challenge of taking the intense dance choreography from an indoor studio, out to the sand in the dessert. Lindsey and all of the dancers had to work hard in the dirt to pull together all the shots for the video.This video was shot in Lander's California at White Horse Ranch. Canon R6: Three Things for Shooting Video TomMorrisFilm 2021-02-22 | These are the three things I wish I knew sooner about shooting video on my Canon EOS R6. Each tip has saved my butt! I heard that shooting in Canon Log was the way to go, but I was having hard time gauging the exposure, and kept searching for tips on how to shoot good video in log on the Canon EOS R6 and R5. After some trial and error in the field here are the three things I learned:Thing One: Shoot in Canon Log but turn on Video Assist. Video Assist allows for you to capture the Log color profile, but view a more saturated and contrasty image on the camera. It makes it way easier to get proper exposure on these mirrorless cameras when shooting video.Thing Two: When shooting video on a mirrorless camera you can lift the viewfinder to your eye and monitor the image. If you're having trouble seeing the back LCD screen in the bright sun, bringing the viewfinder to your eye can be a life saver for judging exposure. You can also take advantage of the exposure meter, in video mode, by doing a half press on the shutter button, and having the exposure meter pop up.Thing Three: Transcode your footage. When you shoot the Canon EOS R6 and R5, you capture h.264 clips in an MOV wrapper. You can drop those clips directly into your timeline, but it can really bog things down, transcoding all of your media to Apple Pro Res will help you cut like butter. This will hopefully prevent Adobe Premiere from giving you stuttering footage during playback.I shot this video on my GoPro Hero 9 and Canon EOS R6. After reading a lot of reviews, and watching videos about the HERO 9, I decided to roll the dice and pick one up. I was nervous about the quality of the sound recording from the Media Mod microphone, and if the Lighting Mod, LED Light would actually light someone up enough to be useable.Once I got my hands on the camera I immediately got it all set up, and took to the streets of Los Angeles on my bicycle to test it out. I gotta admit, I was really impressed with the quality of the image on the GoPro Hero 9, and found the sound quality from the Microphone on the Media Mod to be pretty exceptional. I definitely think this camera is a strong contender for a VLOG camera.I filmed this video with the Canon EOS R6 and the Go Pro Hero 9. I shot in 5k and 4k. Subaru Impreza Crushing Puddles in LA TomMorrisFilm 2018-03-23 | The rain was coming down extremely hard in Los Angeles, so I took to the streets in my Subaru Impreza to crush some puddles and see what LA looked like during the storm of the century!Tell us YOUR favorite rain day activity?It's March of 2018 and Southern California got hit with the storm of the century. Streets flooded. The LA River turned into an actual river. Streets were closed. People evacuated neighborhoods. When most people decided to stay dry and stay indoors, Tom and Jaz decided it was time to hit the streets.Testing out the all wheel drive function on Tom's Subaru Impreza the dudes found a flooded parking lot to charge some puddles. When the rain stopped, Tom danced as hard as he could at the flooded skatepark to get the rain to pick up.After the rain started to get a bit more crazy TOMKAT set off to explore some prime destinations in LA. They saw the LA river. The Griffith Observatory. Even Hollywood Blvd, where the READY PLAYER ONE challenge was closed down due to the rain.Things finished off when the boys went searching for a natural water slide.
