Franz Liszt - Sonata B minor - Liszt´s HANDWRITING bucciflash 2019-08-10 | Played by Evgeny Kissin at the Verbier festival in 2011. The handwriting include bars that were deleted by the composer. These are shown last in the video. Interestingly, the conclusion was originally thought as a grandiose finale but was replaced by an andante sostenuto, fading away to ppp.

There is some background noise but it is in my opinion still the best performance of this sonata I have heard so I just had to upload it. I didn´t use any noise reduction since it cuts frequences from the piano. There is only some slight use of the equalizer.

This is my favourite recording of Reminicsences de Don Juan, recorded live in Stockholm 1986.Reminicsences de Don Juan is one of the most spectacular show pieces ever written for piano. Franz Liszt summarized Mozart´s opera into some 17 minutes of pianistic nightmare. Pianistic capacity is nearly always limiting the performance of this composition. Juh Hee Suh is a prodigy from South Corea and I remember her performance of Rachmaninovs 3:d piano concerto around 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden. A tiny little girl entered the stage and played with a masculine power that was just unbelievable. I dont´t know how her career continued. Very little is to be found about her at Google.

It is very similar to "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" but originates from the French folksong "Le Fiacre".
