Cementimental - An Explosion Psychiatrist [2005] [4k remaster 2023] EPILEPSY WARNING timdrage 2023-06-01 | EPILEPSY WARNING!!! Contains intensely strobing footage!!Short black + white experimental noise video by Cementimental. Video feedback and fast-cut indistinct video scraps accompany rough and sporadic lo-fi Noise. Originally released in 2005, remastered in 2023. The idea of this aesthetic was to embrace the too-smooth high framerate of interlaced video (which at the time I was otherwise obsessed with getting rid of to create a more 'cinematic' progressive-scan image), however this aspect didn't work well with the limited online video compression quality available at the time. So now I've redone it as a 50fps video and upscaled it to 4k, for the full brain-sandpapering effect.I originally released the video under some kind of Creative Commons licence but certain people didn't respect the terms of that, and have caused me problems by using it without credit and falsely claiming copyright ownership on youtube. Original lo-fi animation was combined with clips from "Leave It to Roll-Oh", a public domain movie from the Prelinger Archive. Much of the raw footage was subjected to experimental 'data bending' techniques; the movie files were edited as raw text data, resulting in controlled corruption effects for a distressed sci-fi aesthetic. Krasnagorsk-3 16mm print-stock-as-negative test footage, 2007 timdrage 2022-05-27 | This is some footage I shot years back to test my clockwork Krasnagorsk-3 16mm camera, and to try out shooting 16mm print stock as an extremely high-contrast negative. To get any image I had to shoot in bright sunlight at something absurd like 4 ASA. No postproduction except to invert to positive and get rid of a very light blue cast, otherwise it came out of the camera like this! Remarkably Bold Venture of the Rabbit (2000) (HD) timdrage 2014-12-01 | Remarkably Bold Venture of the Rabbit is a short animated film by Tim Drage, originally released in the futuristic year 2000 as Tim's final project for BA Animation at the University of Wales College Newport."The film concerns the activities of a Rabbit and her mummified robot friend who set out to free some ants from the clutches of an evil Mad Scientist. Will they infiltrate his anti-ant plant? Can they defeat his security systems? What's he got against the ants anyway, and are they as innocent as they seem? Why don't they rescue that poor bear too? What does it all mean? What's going on? Whose hands are those? What!? - All these questions, and more, will be asked when you see the film!"The short was constructed fairly haphazardly via many different animation techniques, including stop-motion (filmed on Super-8), 3D computer models, morphed paintings, 2D digital cutouts and the odd bit of live-action for good measure.
