BAG IT UP luckyy 2017-06-14 | So this is a cod4 edit rendered in 3D using IW3D. I know its not a great edit nor exceptionally good 3D work, but I'm happy to say that IW3D is working really well!The workflow was actually surprisingly smooth.. I took the current OCC COD4 demos, recorded them and did velocity on the normal ingame recordings. Then I loaded the exported IW3D data into blender alongside the velocity data from Vegas. The last step was basically just fixing visuals or adding stuff to the scene before starting to render the whole thing.Overall it still took about one and a half weeks to complete due to me messing up and having to re-render parts of the edit. IW3D Test Cinematic luckyy 2017-05-11 | So in case you haven't heard about IW3D yet, it's a modification I'm currently working on with a friend of mine which makes porting cod demos to 3D possible. Right now we're focussing on COD4, but if people are interested in this, it can also be done on other cods like MW2 or MW3 for example.So as the title says, this is the first test cinematic we've rendered. The demo is some promod demo by 4l3x. I had an idea about a week ago and managed to turn it into a mod thing thanks to smr and mopem.Basically what I've done is made some changes to the game so you can fly around in freecam mode while playing a demo.After quickly porting the IW5MVM dollycam, I flew around in a random demo and made quite a long cinematic (which is the one in the video).Ignore the editing, it's done in about 30 minutes and not great at all; quality isnt great eitherAlso, sorry for the stretchy look.. accidentally recorded with 4x3 fov at a 16x9 resolution :/Anyway, I'm still really excited about this thing and can't wait to make it even better!One last thing: this would also work on MW2 demos the same way...
