Recorded on the actual ZX Spectrum Next hardware.
Managed to get a nice DMA Prescaler detection routine going removing all the rasping caused by DMA overflows. Now sounds very crisp.
This is playing back at 12750Hz which is pretty high quality for the Next.
Also managed to write a z80 note building function so you can change frequency on the fly - takes a couple of seconds, but does work.
Almost good to go!
This will be an open source project, and I'll make it public once I've cleaned it up a bit.
