Game: Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key
Platform: PS4 (also on PS5, Switch, Steam)
Publisher: Koei Tecmo Europe
Developer: Gust
It's the long-awaited final entry in the Atelier Ryza series! As a longtime Gust and Atelier fan, I was so excited to get into it. The game is absolutely stunning in terms of art direction and soundtrack, which is to be expected. The story is actually surprisingly fast-moving in the first couple hours; the game seems to centre around some newly formed islands and "keys" which the party uncovers.
Apologies for the audio issues in these videos. I'm aware of it. Still figuring things out!
NOTE: I complain about the tiny text size and translation quality quite a lot. Sorry if I come across a little negative! Even though these aspects were admittedly disappointing, the game overall is VERY fun, addictive and ambitious for a Gust game. After playing a little longer, I can say the translation does NOT get any better, but these are very minor issues in the grand scheme of things.
