A mural of snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan in Sheffield has gone viral after attracting criticism for its ‘skeletal’ and ‘zombie-like’ appearance.
Scaffolding was present at the site on Monday after artist Chris Ashmore confirmed the mural was unfinished, with ‘touch-ups’ still required.
Writing on his Facebook page, Ashmore said: “I know it’s not perfect. I can see the bits I want to improve and I’ll get as much sorted as I possibly can when I can safely get back up there.”
Ashmore said he intends to complete the mural when weather conditions allow.
“I’m working indoors for a bit and getting on with some other projects while we wait for a decent day,” he added on social media.
