Zombie Apocalypse - Stop Motion | Escape from Chernobyl Zombies Trailer
If Call of Duty Zombies or just zombie in general and Chernobyl are your fascination then I’m sure you shall love the final movie. Stop Motion animated using Mega Bloks COD series micro action figures and build able bricks. However most is made out of cardboard by myself. Sorry but not minecraft zombies in this movie. Aside of Mega Bloks I’ve used some Lego parts but not to many. The ground is fully made from clay.
I’ve spend weeks, months on this zombie apocalypse . Early of summer on 2015 I got this idea but due some challenges and other projects it kept me away. Until last Christmas where I finished the trees and the first small house. I started to animate. First it had to be a simple story with 2 or 3 stages but as production proceed I kept rewriting and so it became 9 minutes long video that takes place on 6 stages. Yes I take you to Town of Pripyat, I have recreated a real location from the ghost town that once populated 50.000 inhabitants until on the night of April 26, 1986 the 4rth reactor of ChNPP exploded. 30 years after the Chernobyl accident things look kinda different, things look kinda my imagination way.
My main inspiration for this project was the pc game Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl ) though I’ve played COD MW4 Pripyat level but it didn't left such a impression on me as Stalker games.
