The weirdo is back [random manips] Margaret Helstone 2017-07-01 | Ok, so this is probably the weirdest thing I've ever uploaded.You see, since the university is (finally!) over, I (finally!) have time formyself. And as I was working on a certain manip (the last one shown in this collection), I also took a look at my old manips - and by "manips" I mean all kinds of edited content. Masks, screenshots, thumbnails - I only skipped the book covers. Well, most of them.So I sorted them in the chronological order and started watching - and then I thought of putting them together in one big, weird video. I know that images aren't even half as interesting as the videos or gifs, but still, I think they show the whole progress I made during those... hold on, is that three years almost? Wow.Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video. Some of the pictures aren't really manips, but the original screen shots used to made them. Or they show nothing but my playing with the colouring. A lot of them are blurred, as they were made in an era when I didn't know the power of "disable resample" button. But as I said, that only show how my editing changed during thosew years. HADDOCK [Logan Style Trailer] Margaret Helstone 2017-04-15 | So, there is this cool trend of making "Logan style" trailers with different, classic heroes - but not making them "play" Logan. Instead, it's all about using Logan's motifs and style to show their own characters, by focusing on their original back story.I can already recommend the ones with Aragorn, Woody, Up and... Deadpool.Anyway, when I came across those trailers, I immediately thought of a Non/Disney version. And guess what? I found nothing of this kind! HOW? I mean, come one, Non/Disney community, where have you been all this time?So, I obviously decided to make one myself. You judge.I was very, VERY hesitant about using Dark Souls footage, but I suppose it was a good choice in the end. For all that are confused: The Knight you see in DS scenes represent Hiccup, being older, stronger, but most of all - much more hurt and lonely, living in a world, where dragons are no longer friends. We Can - Hiccup & Moana [Mocca] Margaret Helstone 2016-11-06 | I am so late with that.Ok, just so you guys know - the montage of this video was actually done the second day after the 1st official trailer was released. But since it's so full of masking (and some crazy manips, like adding a lighting with sv), and I also have other obligations (drawing, writing and, occasionally, the university) it took much longer than I expected. But I did it! And it's in fact my very first long crossover since the day I first tried to mask anything. And it has a plot!Oh, and yes. MOCCA is the official name for this ship. Two fantastic editors (Pretty Snowflake and xSMCx) agreed with me on that - so you may consider it confirmed :DPLOT: Hiccup is casually discovering new lands with Toothless. He notices a new island and decides to check it - he founds Moana, whose ship crashed on the shore a few days earlier. He tries to talk to her, but the Maui appears and becomes a bit overprotective about his little friend.Later Moana shows the caves she found to Hiccup; suddenly, she runs away. He follows and rescue her - it appears that Moana was tired of being away from her home, and she wanted to use an opportunity. Hiccup doesn't intent to stop her, but he offers to escort her to her island instead.They reach their target, Moana meets her family and friends. The Viking spends a few days with them, letting Moana show him her world. Eventually, he flies back on Berk, hoping to see his new friends again soon.Now I need to thank one very special person, who's responsible for bringing this video to life at all - xSMCx. I had to make this video.I've never been very fond of Anna. I've started to think a bit better of her some time ago. But water-star, you made me love her with all my heart.Thank you for that.The video isn't perfect, I know. But I did my best.This time I can't get any credits for using the voice overs - all I did was putting them on the time line and making sure it fits the music. Or more like making sure the music fits the voice overs.They're taken from water-star's story just as they were, in the same turn.
