Abstract Expressionism | ‘Eruption of The Mind’ FireRain 2026-08-14 | Titled 'Eruption of The Mind', this is the third in the abstract expressionism series I've been making. While I did actually make it originally on the third of August, I have been occupied with other works that haven't allowed me time to post the completed ones, but this one is an expression of anger and rage. DAMMIT! I had a painting oopsie… FireRain 2026-08-06 | Long story short - my easel goes on my desk. I get a bit violent with my brush strokes and splattering. I happened to have a thick glob of cadmium red on my brush. This painting of the mushroom cloud happened to be on a high shelf above my desk...and it STILL managed to hit it! Well, that painting survived ONE YEAR completely safe until I left it on my shelf and - yep, fabulous. Now my yellow has cadmium red smudges and prussian blue blobs over it.

Removing 1930s Ribbon Spool for First Time FireRain 2025-05-12 | Of course, this is just a snippet of a longer video I’m wanting to put together sometime soon about my antique Royal 10 typewriter, and this is the first time I’ve seen a metal ribbon spool. It’s all original and I’m learning how they work as I go, keeping my hands clean with gloves as I wind off the ribbon to keep it safe. I didn’t bin it, but chose to keep it as it is the original ribbon and I want to keep it intact as possible.
What a 90+ Year Old Typewriter Ribbon Looks Like FireRain 2025-05-12 | As far as I can tell, this is likely the original ribbon from the 1930's Royal 10 typewriter I bought very early on this year, and you can see how degraded and rotten it has become. Also, there are traces of red wax on the ribbon that came from my melter, which somehow dripped into the spools. Not sure how, but you'll likely see it. PS: Smells as pleasant as you'd expect...not very.

Evri managed to break something in mere hours after it survived 60+ years in working order. That's remarkable. Still waiting for an apology and a refund. This is their fault; not the seller's.
