December 2025 Bullet Journal | Plan With Me Kyra Thibeault Art 2025-12-18 | The theme this month is a festive checkered pattern! 🎄🎀 I don’t think I’ve ever done just a repeating pattern before, but I like it! As seems to be the usual lately, I finished these spreads like a week ago but am late uploading because of the health issues I described in the video as well as my wifi crapping out and my editing software being a jerk. Ever since learning about the website spoonflower literal years ago, I knew I wanted to make my art available on fabrics; the only problem being I had no idea how to make a repeating design. I figured why not make a video out of it - I thought it would be satisfying to listen to and watch me wind the thread on the bobbin things, but instead, chaos ensued. Nearly all of my thread got knotted and tangled, my cats tried to be helpful which actually just made more work for me, and sometimes the “ASMR” sounds were muffled by whatever background noise was happening in my house. Making a Painting for a Nursery 🍼 Kyra Thibeault Art 2024-04-15 | This week, I’m showing you my process for my latest painting, which was a gift to a friend of mine for her baby shower! I wanted to paint her and her husband something to go in the nursery, and once I found out the theme/vibe was forest animals, I thought the perfect painting would be a momma deer and fawn in a forest. This painting certainly went through many ups and downs, had an extremely rough ugly phase, and almost was ruined by my writing, but my friend ended up loving it so that’s what matters most. If anything, this is a lesson that you are your own worst critic. This project took longer than anticipated so I wasn’t able to finish it in time for a Wednesday post 😬 In this video, I take you through the process of making a 1:12 scale laundry room diorama inside of an old detergent bottle. I saw this craft on Pinterest and wanted to recreate it for myself once I had gone through an entire bottle of detergent.I tried to make every aspect of this diorama to the correct scale, and although it isn’t perfect, it’s close enough to pass for miniature laundry room. Long story short, I made this back in 2022 then started having issues with my camera so I thought the footage was corrupted/lost. Turns out the footage was fine, but then I sat on it for a while (literal months) because the trend was over and I wasn’t sure if anyone actually wanted to see it anymore. Today I’m biting the bullet and posting the footage as well as revealing the sculpture, because I’m really happy with how it turned out and it would be a shame to keep it all to myself. February 2024 Bullet Journal | Plan With Me Kyra Thibeault Art 2024-02-05 | My Valentine’s Day cards are available on my Etsy at shopcopperandhoney.etsy.com ! 💌 There are 6 different designs to choose from, which can be purchased individually or as a bundle :)The theme for this month is geometric hearts, which I decided on after seeing a similar design around plentifully and purchasing some new gel pens specifically for this bullet journal. Using these gel pens, my metallic markers, and one Posca pen, I was able to gather enough pink/purple supplies to bring it to life. Pink is not a colour I often use, but when drawing hearts I just had to. I’m happy with the way these spreads turned out overall, but it did not come without its challenges.
