In this test, we are going to install OpenWrt 25 on the Zimaboard2 and check out its performances in WAN to LAN throughput, Wireguard VPN and power consumption (~well, it has been a long time).

ZimaBoard 2 is powered by the Intel N150 (quad-core, upto 3.6GHz), comes with either 8 or 16GB RAM, dual 2.5GbE, and PCIe expansion, making it a great choice for networking applications.
As the device only boot UEFI, we need OpenWrt efi firmware. I installed OpenWrt on a USB drive and avoid touching the internal eMMC as I may need to go back to stock firmware (ZimaOS).
