This template started as a tutorial for psuedo-3D movement using a square gradient as a displacement layer on a photo. As the displacement effect is increased, the pixels in the image are stretched smoothly based on the gradient so the result looks like 3D movement into the photo. In previous templates, I used a vignette layer for displacements which is good for certain settings. A square gradient is better for settings with a straight forward perspective like in this photo from photographer Aleksandar Pasaric.
The music used here is "Stranger Things" by Causmic, a synth-driven beat with all the right sounds for a neon night club setting.
To use the template:
- Replace music.mp3 with your own music.
- Optionally replace bg.jpg and gradient-square.png with your own background and gradient map (this requires a custom gradient background for the displacement effect to work correctly).
- Load up the template in FLStudio.
- Click Export Video.
