What started as a simple drive from Yellowstone turned into one of the biggest emotional roller coasters we've had in a while. A chance encounter with friends while filming drone footage, an unexpected mistake that left us shaking our heads, and a last-minute route change that ended up being one of the best decisions of the trip.
After leaving Yellowstone National Park, we made our way to Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota to visit the brand-new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, which had opened just one week before we arrived. This was our second visit to the park, and it reminded us why we enjoy it so much. While it may not have the towering peaks of Grand Teton or Yellowstone, the North Dakota Badlands have a peacefulness all their own, with scenic drives, prairie dogs, bison, wild horses, and incredible sunsets.
If you're planning an RV trip across the country, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is an easy stop that's well worth adding to your route.
