First, my thanks to @SpaceHunterM (the Iria to my Bob--er, something like that anyway) for digitizing this tape for me back when I didn't have a VCR. Or a DVD recorder. Or a PC. It was a rough few years there.
This is from an "as blank" EP-recorded cassette I bought somewhere, sandwiched between some POS made-for-TV movies. As a result, the video quality is much less than desirable, but the content was interesting enough that I deemed it worth preserving.
This presentation of "Zeram" on Sci-Fi's Moonlight Matinee aired at the always-accessible time of 3:30 AM on November 15, 1997 (actually the wee hours of Nov. 16, but we use the TV Guide system around here). "Zeram," of course, is the American release of Keita Amemiya's "Zeiram" (1991), one of the relatively-unsung classics of Heisei-era tokusatsu. Although they're not credited as such here, Carl Macek's Streamline Pictures is essentially the group responsible for the dubbing herein.
And do visit the Inner Mind Syfy archives if you'd like to see what else was on the Sci-Fi Channel that day.
