Zenith model 5D8IOY. Lots of interference from my computer so some stations don't come in as clear. Just before I had to replace the 12BE6, it seems to be sounding good! Again the sound quality is not the best off the computer.
I will be posting another video of this radio with all of its capacitors replaced. Just the other day when I went to plug it in after having it sit for a few months, it came on with a very loud hum.....its the electrolytic capacitor. The electrolytic caps are usually the main cause of the very loud hum that you cant turn down with the volume knob. I had 1 radio blow a paper cap when I was playing it, with that it didn't make a loud hum or show any signs of failure. That's why its always best to replace all the paper and electrolytic caps in a old radio that you are planning to use.
