Retro365 | Zenith - Gebelli Software, 1982 - Apple II (4K) @Retro365 | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
A short play of Nasir Gebelli's Zenith, published by his company Gebelli Software for the Apple II in 1982.
This is definitely a game you have to practice as the steering is rather challenging, to put it mildly.
Zenith is a pseudo-3D space shooter similar in style and gameplay to Gebelli's earlier Horizon V, the main difference being the ability to steer your ship left and right.
You're patrolling the airspace above the city Zenith as it's being built. Aliens are invading and your job is to shoot objects above the city all while capturing aliens. Capture four aliens to be able to repair and refuel your ship.
I'll add a link to the corresponding article on my blog, later on.
