When I heard this remix of Miphas Theme from Breath of the Wild for the first time I though it was a mashup with Attack on Vah Medoh from that same game! Theres some strikingly similar string patterns in this, but in-game it turns out to just be a coincidence =P . Still, I love what theyve done to make Miphas Theme a little more energetic. Theyve hidden a lot of mi-fa intervals in this as a tribute - for those who dont know what Im talking about, both Mipha and Sidon have their names based on Do-re-mi note names =) .

Breath of the Wild is my favourite game ever made, dethroning... Mario Galaxy! Both,
uncoincidentally, have amazing music. To celebrate Mario Galaxys release on Switch I arranged Good Egg Galaxy and Melty Molten Galaxy, two tracks that I hadnt done yet. Before I was able to upload Melty Molten though, Age of Calamity was announced and my channel pivoted entirely to that for two months!
So I decided to give the entire soundtrack some extra presence by making a medley! This one has become 10 minutes long, combining all the Mario Galaxy pieces Ive arranged up to this point. Melty Molten is new, as is the Db version of Gusty Garden (Id previously done it in D to make it a little more playable for my audience). I also have arranged Starship Mario, but because that track is from the sequel Mario Galaxy 2 I decided to omit it.

Bowsers Fury has some *delicious* new music by two for me relatively unknown composers: Daisuke Matsuoka and James Phillipsen. To see a Western composer working on a Japan-developed Mario game was quite the surprise!
Im especially fond of the eclectically arranged level music, with quite unconventional instrument combinations. The use of virtual instrumentation is fantastic, and I had to do a double take do discern how many real instruments were used in the soundtrack! My conclusion: not as many as youd think... ;)
After all the Hyrule epicness from the past months it felt real nice to do something lighter and jazzy again, so of course I tacked on some weird stuff ;) . Hope you like it! Please share if you did.
