Water Sage Ruto returns for another Zelda 2 Randomizer seed. 4 crystals are needed to open the Great Palace, and you start with one of the items needed to navigate them without a hitch, as well as the candle to make cave navigation easier. Not much in the way of magic, though, but at least one of the palaces had a great farming spot!
