Dave Mohring, Metrology Coordinator at OptiPro Systems, demonstrates the features and capabilities of the ZEISS O-DETECT, a vision system for measuring precision parts. Dave measures a part for a bow and arrow trigger system, which has unique contours that make it difficult to measure with a tactile probe. With the O-DETECT, you can measure parts with:
- Back lighting (or transmitted lighting) coming from the bottom
- Reflective lighting coming from the sides
- Coaxial lighting coming from the optics in the camera system
These capabilities allow you to inspect deep holes and a variety of different features.
