👇 About the Zeila Shipwreck:
The Zeila was a fishing trawler sold for scrap and being towed from Walvis Bay to India when it came loose and ran aground on the beach near “Die Walle” on 25 August 2008. Today its rusted hull sits half-buried in sand, serving as a stark reminder of the treacherous Atlantic currents and foggy conditions along Namibia’s rugged coast.

Just south of Henties Bay on the Skeleton Coast — a scenic yet remote stretch of desert coastline where strong swells, cold Benguela currents, and dense fog make navigation dangerous.
