This unique one-man mini cat, a Zego 300 Sports Catamaran, caught our eye in passing at the 2025 Newport boat show.

If ever you dreamt of a solo fishing (and hunting) machine with just enough deck space for a platform on the bow, this little 10-footer might be the answer.
Designed in New Zealand and now just getting a foothold in the U.S., Zego’s pontoons are highly stable, fuel efficient, and probably about as fun as can be, whether you’re fishing inshore, trolling (slightly) offshore, or wing-shooting in the marsh.
For now, we can only imagine, but this is a boat we’d like to take out for a day in the near future.
