The prophecies of Zechariah are directed at the heart of the people. He called them to repentance, and urged them to commit their heart to God. There are so many things that we can glean from this book: not just that Christ is coming again, Christ is King, and that in Christ there is salvation, but also that there are consequences for a people who turn their back on God.
