Rendering of it took about 30 hours on GTX 1060. Noise target was set to 2%, which result in not so visible noise and reasonable time of rendering.
It was rendered to test new texture mapping functions in OpenCL rendering engine in Mandelbulber program (development version of Mandelbulber 2.15). There was used Fractalize Texture option.

During animation there is changed Julia constant. According to it the fractal changes shape in many ways.
There was used Iteration Fog effect to create interesting appearance of received light rays. Thanks to new OpenCL rendering engine rendering time was reasonable (about 60 hours), even if used effects were very demanding for computation and resolution is 1440p.

This time was tested "Fog based on iteration count". Rendering time was 25 hours. It is way faster than on CPU where on Intel i7 it would be 30 days (about 20 minutes for single frame)

This video shows the same animation as was rendered 2 weeks ago (youtu.be/ZAa7PucQ4R8) but with much more effects.

There were some pars of mosquito in the sample.Mandelbulber v2 OpenCL fast engine 4K testKrzysztof Marczak2017-06-08 | This the trial of rendering flight animation using Mandelbulber v2 with partially implemented OpenCL rendering engine.
There reason of this test was to check stability of application during long rendering and how rendering behaves when camera is very close to the surface. Because OpenCL kernel code runs using only single precision floating point numbers, it's not possible to do deep zooms of 3D fractals.
To render this animation in 4K resolutiuon it took only 9 hours on nVidia GTX 1050.
In the new version of program there is possible to assign different audio track to each animated parameter. In each audio track there can be selected frequency of interest (with help of frequency spectrum chart). Animation generated by sound can be mixed with keyframe animation.
This is animation of traveling through Mandelbox fractal (known also as Amazing Box)
It's interactive (virtual reality) animation so you can rotate the view using mouse (when played on PC) or by rotating mobile device.
If you enable 3D effect then you can enjoy being inside the fractal. This will work with 3D television set, or red-cyan 3D glasses. You can use Google Cardboard with your mobile phone.

Purpose to do this animation was to test new keyframe engine and NetRender feature in Mandelbulber program. It was rendered in headless mode using two Linux machines (headless feature is in development). During rendering of this animation I have found and fixed several bugs in the software.
Tested workflow: - recorded flight path in Flight Animation mode - exported flight animation into keyframe animation (1 keyframe per 50 frames) - added 'Fog based on distance effect' - parameters for fog added to animation table - adjusted fog parameter of every key frame (tested 'modify keyframe') - added DOF focus distance parameter to animation table - adjusted DOF focus on every key frame - modified background color (tested if change is applied to all frames) - modified interpolation type from linear to Akima for fog and DOF parameters - modified camera rotation on first 3 key-frames - deleted first key frame
Tested behavior: - used Akima interpolation for camera position when distance to fractal object decreases logarithmically - works much better than Catmull-Rom interpolation - tested very deep close up (distance between camera and fractal object on last frame was 3.5e-13) - on last frames camera movement is jerky - limited computation resolution
There is possibility to animate weight parameter for each hybrid fractal formula. In this way there is possible to do smooth transition between different fractal types or apply formulas for hybrid fractal in smooth way.
Parteon: patreon.com/krzysztofmarczakMandelbulb v2 keyframes testKrzysztof Marczak2015-06-18 | It's testing animation rendered with Mandelbulber v2 The code for keyframe animation feature is almost finished. Now is the time for heavy testing. What is different in animations in compare with Mandelbulber v1: - possible to animate ALL parameters, even colors, booleans and integers - possible to change interpolation type for all animated parameters - available Akima interpolation - much better camera animation (camera - target system) - possible to edit animated parameters in the table view - possible to modify selected parameter for selected range of keyframes - added build-in animation playerMenger Spogne with pulsing lightsKrzysztof Marczak2015-01-07 | Test of flight animation feature in Mandelbulber v2 (still under development) 1. test of strafing by arrow keys 2. test of editing CSV file with animation parameters. Light source intensities done as sinus functions. Used external spreadsheet editor (now is possible to animate every parameter in this way)
P.S. About video quality. I have uploaded it as H264 25Mb/s. YouTube converted it to about 5Mb/s. That is why it looks so poor. Reasonable quality for 720p videos starts from 10Mb/s especially when there is a lot of fast changing details on frames.Mandelbulb Power 2Krzysztof Marczak2013-12-07 | This is a fractal animation rendered using Mandelbulber-OpenCL 1.19 http://www.mandelbulber.com
I found that there are no animations with this type of fractal, so I decided to render it. It is difficult to render because needs very short raymarching steps. It renders very slow even on GPU. I think it was worth to render it, because Mandelbulb Power 2 has some very interesting areas.
