*How much yarn will I need?* This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
*How many squares do I need for a blanket?* That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want π
*Do you have the written pattern?* Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. *All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website*

For my blanket shown on the thumbnail and in intro, I used the Sirdar Happy Cotton Assortment Box (50 shades) - available to purchase from Lovecrafts here: bit.ly/49Xbo7t and joined using Sirdar Cotton DK in Vanilla (shade 502) with a 4mm hook.
My squares measure approximately 4 inches using the cotton yarn
For the tutorial itself I used Papatya Super Stitch with a 5.5mm Hook which gave me a square of approximately 5 and a half inches
My personal blanket using the DK cotton and 4mm hook is 8 squares wide by 11 squares long - that gave me a blanket size of approximately 35 inches (89cm) by 47 inches (120cm)
The cotton is quite heavy when joined so it's a tricky one to accurately measure!

From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want π

π§Ά Yarn & Hook information: For my blanket I used Hayfield Bonus DK with a 4mm Hook in the following shades: Ladybird, Burnt Orange, Cornfield, Turquoise, Neon Blue & Electric Pink
I needed just over 1 ball of each of the colours (you might get away with one ball if your tension is tighter than mine, however I would advise getting 2 balls of each colour just in case) and I used 3 balls of the Electric Pink (including the border)
I used approximately 2,300 - 2,500 meters of DK weight yarn for the entire project
My blanket measures approximately 39 inches (99cm) wide by 48 inches (125cm) long

From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want π

π§Ά Yarn & Hook information: For my personal blanket, I used Papatya Super Stitch Yarn with a 5.5mm Hook.
I used 2 balls of cream (shade 1200), 4 balls of beige (shade 4120) and 5 balls of mustard (shade 8740) - (I used 2 of those 5 balls of the mustard for the border)
I chained 133 chains to start (13 blocks wide) and made 19 blocks in length (total of 95 rows)
My entire blanket (including the border) is approximately 47 inches x 58 inches (119cm x 147cm)
π THE BORDER: I followed 2 different tutorials for this.
To begin, I prepared my edging using this method from @Itsallinanutshell youtu.be/T2GZmkrxbXo
I then used this border from @DaisyFarmCrafts youtu.be/oM5qMrw8fxY (I chained 12 for my starting chain on the ribbed border π)

*Do you have a left handed version of this video?* If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on YouTube yourself! Simply go to mirrorthevideo.com and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
*How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's?* Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
*Can you remake this video so it is slower?* If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! π See this video on exactly how: youtu.be/LIRYwkkI_4Y
*Why do you use American stitch terminology?* I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! hookedbyrobin.com/crochet-stitch-conversions
