In contrast to the hot weather and hard-packed tracks that we are accustomed to at this time of year, overcast skies and primo track conditions greeted my riding buddies and me as we pulled into the track yesterday, and we couldn't get suited up quickly enough. Imagine the sound of the groan that my buddy Mike Moso let out when he pulled his helmet out of his gearbag, only to discover that his girlfriend had removed his helmet liner to wash it. While he sat there pondering whether he could wear a hat and then stuff the rest of the void inside the helmet with a T-shirt and gloves, I remembered that I had a brand-new Z1R Dirt Maxx helmet in the SML van!
