Stephanie Lange 2022-12-04 | ‘Selena Gomez has let herself go!’ ‘Lindsay Lohan has lost her looks!’ ‘Britney got fat!’ ‘Gigi had a glow down!’ - this notion that women can ‘lose their looks’, ‘let themselves go’ or have a ‘glow down’ is unfortunately rampant in our society today. In my previous video discussing the alleged ‘glow down’ of Gigi Hadid, I wanted to explore this concept as its one that I too feel personally effected by, however i think we need to delve deeper on this subject. In our society today, its as though a woman’s worth (especially if she is a celebrity or influencer) is based on her looks. And more specifically, maintaining them no matter what. If a woman shows signs of ageing? Lost her looks. If she gains weight? Let herself go. If she stops placing so much emphasis on her physical looks and instead focusses on a different area of her life? Glow down. It’s not right - but it is happening. This video is a bit of a mishmash tbh. A rant, a deep dive - i don’t know. I wasn’t even planning to film today. But this is something I really felt like talking about after seeing my YT comments this morning. Let me know if you guys have ever felt pressured to look younger, to maintain your weight - not for health reasons but for your appearance, to snap back into shape after pregnancy - it’s all the same. it all boils down to the unrealistic expectations that we have for women as regards to their looks. WOMEN (including celebs and influencers) DON’T OWE THE WORLD PRETTY! It’s ok for us to change! So we’ve talked about Kim Kardashian’s rise to fame, her facial transformation - but now she’s only gone and changed her body too! Gone is the poster girl for the curvy, voluptuous ‘slim thick’ body, and in her place is a new Kim. Which has people talking. And I think that was her aim. Kim can’t possible allow herself to become stale or irrelevant, so the best way to keep people interested (and the money rolling in?) re-invent yourself. Or your body. And that’s exactly what Kim’s done! And it’s worked! In all honesty, what Kim does with Kim’s body is Kim’s choice and her choice alone - however because her influencer is SO huge, what she does with her body filters down to beauty standards everywhere (as we saw happen in the past). Her blatant promotion and pride at her 7kg weight loss (crash diet) in 3 weeks honestly has me annoyed. We’re not living in the early 2000s anymore. I can't believe i've never done a video on Kim's transformation before. She was always stunning. and still is - but she has definitely had quite a few tweakments along the way to remain the epitome of the beauty standard. As far as i know, Kim denies having had filler or altering her appearance in any major way, but when you compare original pictures of Kim to more recent pictures, I think it's pretty obvious she has. I think when you're someone like Kim Kardashian, who is in SUCH a position of power and influence, it's good to be honest about what you've had done. To lie about such things just fuels the shame behind cosmetic treatments and it's not ideal for her followers to think that Kim is au naturelle - when it's more than likely she isn't. It seems to me that in the last year or so, Kendall has began to pretty drastically alter her looks, and she now looks extremely different to how she used to look naturally. It’s not surprising really when you consider the family that she’s from, and the environment she’s grown up in, and the career she has… but it’s a little sad. Considering Kendall already basically naturally fits today’s current ‘beauty standard’ it’s a little sad that it seems she may have felt pressured to alter herself. In my (non expert) opinion, I believe that Kendall has undergone a nose job, eye and brow lift, cheek filler or cheek implants, lip lift and lip filler. THE TRUTH ABOUT ACNE? YOUVE BEEN LIED TO. Stephanie Lange 2022-10-09 | 'How to get rid of acne!', 'How to get rid of skin texture!' - I see it EVERYWHERE. Not to mention the expensive skincare products that promise to give you poreless, flawless skin (that doesn't actually exist in real life, so bye bye money and false hope). Then there's the celebrities and influencers who hide their real skin behind filters and photoshop and still have the nerve to accept big money to promote skincare products that claim to give you skin like theirs - it's just unfair. The truth about acne? It's your body trying to communicate with you. It's not a flaw. You're certainly not ugly. The truth about acne? It's basically a 'medical' issue - in that something is causing your skin to become inflamed. That may be hormonal, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, gut imbalance, stress, food intolerance - loads of things can result in your skin developing acne. There's also quite a few different TYPES of acne - so how can one skincare product 'cure' your acne, when no.1: they dont know what caused it to begin with, no.2: they dont know what type of acne you have? iNfLuEnCeRs damaging obsession with tiny waists | why youll never have one Stephanie Lange 2022-10-06 | WHY are influencers obsessed with having abnormally tiny waists? Is it to appear more feminine? To look like a Bratz doll? Because most humans have waists big enough to fit their internal organs and therefore by portraying that YOURS is spectacularly tiny you are somehow superhuman? I genuinely don't understand the appeal. YES small waists naturally exist. Some people (myself included) are naturally petite. HOWVER your waist will never be smaller than your head. Period. It's just not physically possible. We have to fit so many internal organs that are literally necessary to sustain LIFE inside our waists. So these influencers you see on Instagram with bellies smaller than their faces? Highly unlikely to be reality. As you'll see in this video, certain tricks such as contorting your body, posing in certain ways, good lighting, photo editing, VIDEO editing, RIB REMOVAL and surgery - all play a part in this strange tiny waist obsession.I'd love to get you guys's opinion on this phenomenon that has been happening for hundreds of years now (yep, you heard me - this weird obsession with tiny waists is nothing new!).Love ya guts guys,Stephanie x

Mikayla Nogueira has put her foot in it… again. I feel like people have been trying to cancel poor Mikayla for a while now (she’s had backlash for using filters, claiming her skin was good genetics, promoting every makeup product under the sun) and so far nothing has worked. but now she’s being cancelled for saying that her job as an influencer is ‘hard work’ and that ‘you should try being an influencer for a day’. And this time? I get it. People are angry. It was a pretty darn tone deaf thing for an (alleged) millionaire 24 year old influencer to say, when there are people slaving away at minimum wage jobs for 12 hours a day - it’s a bit ridiculous. HOWEVER - I do also think that when it comes to entitled influencers, sometimes the internet turns into a bit of a witch hunt, and that cancelling influencers for saying daft things (like in this instance) is going a bit far. Was it simply puberty? Or was it something more?I think it was something more - a heck of a lot more. And honestly, I think it's really sad. Kylie was always naturally gorgeous looking. Big brown eyes, cheeky smile, cute nose, lean, athletic body - but in the space of just a few short years, her ENTIRE appearance changed. From her lips (that one is obvs), to her eye shape, brow height, forehead height, hairline, teeth, smile, nose, cheeks, chin. Too big. Too curved. Too crooked. Not straight enough. Too bulbous. Too thick. TOO BIG. When what is a nose really? They’re not, in fact, useless pieces of flesh in the middle of our faces to cause us grief over our appearances, they are FUNCTIONAL PIECES OF OUR BODIES. We NEED our noses. And we need them to work. We need them to breathe. To smell, to TASTE for that matter, to rid our bodies of mucous. When did noses become nothing more than an aesthetic feature of our appearance? Our bodies don’t do things by accident (usually), and the shape of our noses is no different. Your nose was perfectly made for your face, and handed down to you by your ancestors. Your nose tells their story. Is your nose wide and short? Look at your genetics - maybe your ancestors came from a hot climate where they needed this shape nose to breathe easily. Your nose long and thin? Perhaps your ancestry comes from a cold climate, where your family needed thin noses to warm up the cold air before circulating it through your sinuses. Have you got a bump or hump on the bridge of your nose? Then you may have what’s known as the ‘aquiline nose’. This nose has only recently become ‘unattractive’, and for the majority of time in Europe, was considered the most ‘desired’ nose shape. Your nose isn’t ugly. Toss them with sea salt and cracked pepper and the coconut oil, then bake them at about 160 degrees celsius until they're cooked and golden! BOUNCING BACK AFTER PREGNANCY IS NOT GOALS Stephanie Lange 2021-08-23 | How many influencers and celebrities have you seen who 'bounced back'... like a day after giving birth? I know i've seen SO many influencers on Instagram who make sure that in every picture they post with their new baby, you can see just how tiny and flat their stomach is. But it's like... why tho? In my humble opinion, bouncing back or having a flat stomach soon after giving birth is not a goal. It's not an achievement and its not something to be admired. Yes, it's totally normal for a lot of women to snap back into the shape they were pre-pregnancy, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! However for a lot women, that ISN'T their reality, and no matter how hard they try, their body never looks the same again. Treating bouncing back or having a flat stomach soon after giving birth as a goal or something to be admired, can lead the women who DIDN'T bounce back, to feel like there's something wrong with them, or that their body failed them. When in fact, there is no one way for a woman to look after pregnancy. Some regain their pre-pregnancy figure almost immediately, and others don't. The problem for the ones that don't, is that society and social media make out that there's something wrong with that - when there isn't. There's nothing wrong with having children, and your body LOOKING like you've had children. No matter what you look like after having your kiddos, know that you are PERFECT. I love you!Remember, nourish yourself and love yourself.
