GoDS Extra Stage Theme: Crossing the River of Heaven (Remastered)

Aka Kyuketsuki 2023-02-26 | A remaster of my contribution to 東方夢旧市　～ Glory of Deep Skies for the Extra Stage theme. I wanted to practice mixing a little bit with some of my older works, however most of them have been wiped out from my old laptop, so no GoDS Stage 3 remastered I'm afraid :(
This one was made on my current PC though, so I thought I could give it a whirl and I'm pretty happy with the results, no matter how big or small the changes are depending on how you see it 🙏

This song was made with the four seasons in mind. You can feel its brightness, its warmth, its colorfulness and its melancholy. They rush from one to another, creating an entire cycle in just a few minutes.

[Kingdom Hearts 2.5] The 13th Reflection (Re:Transcription)

Aka Kyuketsuki 2022-03-26 | A little exception to this Touhou-oriented channel, I present to you another one of my favorite series: Kingdom Hearts!

It's the first time I try orchestra-oriented music and I'm pretty proud of the result! This is one of my favorite boss themes from the KH series by FAR!
Overall it sounds very similar to the original (mainly the 2.5 version), but I tried to bring a mixing that's a mix between the KH2FM and the KH2.5 versions, with my personal touch in the middle.

Also yes, I'm the one playing on the gameplay video lol, it's been a VERY long time since I picked up KH2 again, and my only save file was a Critical Mode Lvl 1 run (uhoh)
I didn't beat any of the bosses while recording but I got enough footage for 3 minutes, so it's all good for me lmao

After this, I'm gonna try and arrange a few other Touhou songs, considering the amount of WIPs that I have whoops-

This remaster was made for my friend Kirbio's BHA4 contest entry.
It's been a very long while since my last upload, I've been going through my usual burnouts (in my case, these take at least a year lmao)

I've made a lot of new songs during this period, but they are all secret due to being made for upcoming projects and fangames. A cheerful girl and a cold boy as a Chinese stage 3 duo, doesn't that sound interesting? I made this a pretty powerful song with a lot of Asian vibes, I'm pretty proud of that one!
According to Anna, they sell noodles and (herbal?) medicine, which China is pretty known for.
I'm pretty sure they'd make the best tea, that idea kinda amuses me lol

A fairy for a stage 5 boss? We have seen Clownpiece, but what makes this one such a big shot?
Melanie has the ability to read into one's fears, making her a powerful opponent for the weak-minded. Anna describes her as mischievious and sadistic, so her theme would obviously sound dark and whimsical.
She is supposed to hold as much power as your typical incident culprit, which means it's up to our beloved Shrine Maiden and her gang to put an end to this fairy's twisted ambitions!

[Touhou-Style Original] Le Cirque des Lunes Jumelles (Twin Moons Circus)

Aka Kyuketsuki 2020-07-04 | New commission on its way! This time for Anna Nguyen.

The mysterious lost circus has opened its doors, with so many strange creatures to see... This theme was made for a stage 5 boss named "Miss Friday", who actually has two heads on one body. One may feel concerned from such a sight, yet nobody knows what sorrow lies in these girls' heart.
I went for something powerful and creepy, with a hint of melancholy midway through. The commissioner requested some sound effects to go with the song, so while it might sound weird in-game in my opinion, it'd make a great OST alternative!

This theme is for a half-dryad half-human girl named Chii, a character with nature and healing-themed abilities. I think she's pretty neat. She has a serious yet playful personality as a stage 3 or stage 4 boss, so I've made a serious yet playful song for her.

It ended sounding like a stage-boss theme hybrid, but doesn't it fit her hybrid origins in a way?

I've had that one in the works for a while now, since last year I would say. It's been on hold for a while because of IRL stuff and UotAR, but now, it's complete! This song was inspired by one of the seven wonders of the world: the Lighthouse of Alexandria, Pharos.
Lost in the sea at night, you see a light guiding you from afar... What land of wonders shall you discover?

This original track was supposed to be for a fun private CD project, but I had the greenlight to upload the final result, which I'm very happy about since I'm very proud about it~

Haven't uploaded anything for almost a year now, yeesh. Despite having many songs done, I can't upload anything yet since these are all secrets! Expect to discover a handful of them in the near future though.

This song is my very first commission! I've never opened them before, most likely because of my lack of confidence on the subject and the fact that I wanted to spend my time on UotAR instead lol
But someone really wanted to commission me so I said why not?

This song was made with a trio of ghastly characters in mind (the three silhouettes you see are the commissioner's OCs), named Dori, Arisu and Kara. The commissioner drew the silhouettes!

I'm still working on UotAR btw, it's making progress quite nicely. Thank you for your patience!

Hello everyone, this is Aka Kyuketsuki! How have you been? Did you enjoy Touhou 16's demo?
I did, a lot.

I've been planning this CD since January, which is quite a lot. I got a bit lazy sometimes, but I also
had to focus on my exams and driving licence.

Worry not though, I passed both of them! Yey.
At first, I didn't want to pass too much time on the story, but as I was writing it with Kirbio, I realized we
were creating something really nice, so we got deeper into it ~

As for the songs, despite many mixing problems along the way, they got pretty much fixed, so I'm pretty proud of them.
Did you like them by the way? They should be the main interest after all lol.

Though the adventure ends a bit abruptly,
I wanted to make a song that reminded us this still was a great travel.

You just have to make the best out of each moment to make it a memory enjoyable to remember.

"There we are Renko, we made it!"
"Phew, so we should be back in a dream state now, right?"
"I hope so... Let's try it out. Can you fly?"
"On the count of three..."

The duo took a huge leap to the air and started to float along with the snow.

"Haha, this always feels great!"
"Maybe that's what could differ fantasy and reality?"
"Hm, did you say something, Merry?"
"Hmm, it's nothing. I was talking to myself a bit."
"Ah, I see."

Maribel didn't know, but Renko could already see what she was thinking about.
The border between these two quantum states is very thin, but definable.
Fantasy could be described as a world where there are no laws of physics, where anything can be possible.
Resurrection, infinite wealth, immortality, paranormal abilities...

However, fantasy needs, compared to reality, a host. Someone in control, someone who creates that universe.

"Hey, Renko?"
"?"
"That man the ruler described, the one who crossed the barrier... Do you think he was an author as well?"
"Well... It could be possible!"
"I'd like to write about it too.."
"That's actually a good idea. If that's what you want, I'd like to help you too."

I'm not really used to make dark songs, this is one of my experiments.
I tried to make the madness stand out, while avoiding to cross the barrier of randomness.

After walking through the corridor and enjoying the fanciness of the palace, the duo arrived at a small room.
Video screens were everywhere, showing many facets of the city.

"Video screens? Looks like technology is more advanced than we thought."
"What on Earth is going on here... Is the city constantly being filmed?"

Maribel took a look around, but there was nobody here. It was only the two of them.
She then rested on a desk nearby.

"Who could be watching? It looks like someone was here before."
"They are either out, or this place is abandoned. Such a shame though, I wouldn't mind living here.
I'd definitely get rid of these devices though."

"Oh ? This is..."
"Found something, Merry ?"

Maribel picked up a book from the desk she was resting on and opened it.

"There's no title, and the writing style reminds me of a diary. It suddenly stops midway though."
"Lemme see!"

- 29th of June, a strange man has finally managed to enter the barrier protecting the city.
We did not have any visitors for quite a while, so this is kind of surprising.
Seems like only a select few can cross it, so I am not worried.
Those denied of greed are free to come and leave as they wish.
However, they mustn't stay here for too long. This place is set between illusion and reality.
When both the mind and the body are divided in two for too long, they break. I wish I could warn him, but I cannot leave.

After watching over this city during my entire reign, I realized people have started to fear me.
I don't understand, I'm doing this for our safety, this is why I must know everything.

"That's a creepy way a thinking, was he okay?"
"To make an entire city out of the gold of the dead, I don't think so."
"The book looks very old though, some pages are in shambles... Maybe he died a long time ago?"
"But the people are still remaining silent in fear of getting caught. Do they even know he died?"
"I don't think so. This rule of silence was maybe told generations to generations, to eventually become a myth to live by."
"That's sad... I'd love to tell them, but just like our society, some facts are best kept secret.
We'd be the crazy people here."
"Most importantly, I think we should go. All we have to do is to cross that volcano's barrier one more time, right ?"
"So it was that easy all along? Let's hurry!"

This time, I wanted to convey a feeling of rushing in a long corridor.
It is quite a sparkly theme, just like diamonds reflecting light.

This palace holds a melancholic feeling, but still feel energetic, doesn't it ?

Lost in their thoughts, the duo stumbled across a gigantic building.
It was the tallest of the city, as well as the most noticably appealing to the eye.
They both decided to enter, in hopes of finding a few clues for solving the mysteries at hand.

As they advanced into the entrance, the warm sunlight gradually disappeared behind.
The inside had no windows, but was brightly lit thanks to diamonds reflecting artificial lights.

"Amazing..."
"Makes us really wonder if we're dreaming right now. Do you think someone lives here ?"
"I'd rather not intrude someone's home like that, but it is answers we're here to seek, I'm willing to take the risk."
"You're right, I'm with you."

Maribel and Renko slowly walked in the only corridor that was accessible through the hall.
Gold and Diamonds were everywhere in every form : stones, furniture, ingots...
Renko noticed a diamond cup filled with liquid gold, picking it up to inspect it more closely.

"This isn't right... If gold was this liquid, it would to be hot enough to melt this cup."
"Gold's melting point is 1064°C, correct ?"
"Exactly. Maybe it is fake gold after all."
"All these diamonds and gold; while they are valuable in the outside world,
they seem to have lost their value due to their common abundance here."
"Ah yes, this reminds me of a certain story I've read.
The kingdom of Laputa... Where people have full knowledge about maths and science, but fail to use them properly."
"Yeah, just like our world, knowledge like math and science were very valuable back then, just like diamonds and gold...
Nowadays, people acquire plenty of knowledge, but the majority also fail to make any practical use of it."
"Do you think the story of Laputa predicted the future, Renko?"
"Perhaps the author saw something from the future and got inspired to write his own book?
Or he might as well have crossed a border of reality and fantasy, too."
"I wonder... Maybe reality and fantasy do not have much difference, after all."
"Maybe, but it is necessary to define what makes fantasy, and what doesn't."

This is the seventh track theme.

The closest answer isn't always the most logical.
I wanted to make this song feel "illogical", while keeping a structure to help you find your way in.

In this fantasy, the best way to find the truth is to think outside of the box.

#07 A Maiden's Nonsensical Bunraku / "Another Quantum State"

Illusion? Reality? The two were pretty uncertain.
Lucidity in a dream questions the proper nature of a dream and can turn the odds to the dreamer's favor.
Once the dreamer knows he's dreaming, his conscious dominates the subconscious and gains control over it.
In this situation, Maribel and Renko have no idea whether they are dreaming or not: they have lost control over it.

"Let's think about it, shall we?"
"I'll recap then."

Renko and Maribel decided to explore the city a little bit more, while whispering their thoughts to each other.

"We decided to go to sleep together in order to explore the place you mentionned in your dreams.
Then, when we got there, we discovered this shrine and found a cave leading to El Dorado. And there we are."
"Hmm, the question is, when did we cross the barrier? I should've been able to see it."
"That's true. Maybe your powers grew enough to share it with me."
"That's a possibility, however I think we should've woken up by now."
"We should consider ourselves out of a dream state for a subjective point of view."
"But this would mean everything we're seeing is real, right?"
"Well then, what do you think has happened to us?"
"...I think we might be stuck between two quantum states, just like Schrödinger's Cat."
"So we're both in a dream and reality, huh?"

In the past, since people couldn't often distinguish fantasy from reality,
there were many people with "fantasy-prone personality", a mind with a much greater imagination.
Perhaps they were just seeing a different world, and a majority of narrow-minded people rejected them for the sake of
being different?
There might be universal travelers who got stuck in a quantum state, living in both reality and fantasy.
Right now, in a world where science has advanced too far, fantasy is not quite a relevant topic anymore, however.

When Maribel shared her dream with Renko in order to pass through the Ame-no-Torifune shrine's barrier,
only she was physically affected by the rules of that world.
Renko could only witness that world immaterially, like a dream. She could not interact, only see.

"I'm pretty sure we went to sleep together to experience a shared dream. Did something go wrong?"
"I don't know, but people shouldn't be able to see you."
"This is getting dangerous, I think we should try to wake up."
"It won't be that easy. If it was really a dream, then consciously waking up would still be a hard thing to do.
And if this is reality, then we'd need to get out of here and go home by foot."
"Hokkaido to Kyoto by foot? No way..."
"I suppose we'll need to solve more mysteries than expected."

This is the fifth track theme.

This isn't really exploration anymore since there are lots of people around.
I think it feels more like a casual touristic visit of a fancy market place.

There aren't that many people around though, so a few indiscrete peeks shouldn't be too bad.

#05 Orwell's Quarantined Utopia / "Neo-Utopian City"

As the girls continued exploring the city, they noticed this place wasn't exactly empty.
There were actually quite a few people around, as if it were all a huge market place.

"Let's have a look around, shall we?"
"Yes, I'm pretty excited, actually!"

The stalls were selling ordinary things. Fruits, vegetables, meat, fishes...

"This food looks like the real deal, that's impressive."
"So, do you think we can buy any rare items here?"
"I hope so, bringing home a little souvenir from this place sounds like a dangerous yet exciting thing to do."
"Ah, I didn't bring my wallet though. Do you think I can snatch one gold ingot and trade it? Haha."
"What currency do you think they use here anyway?"
"I'd like to state the obvious, but it seems we'll have to see how it works ourselves."

The girls walked towards the many stalls that were available.
There weren't too many people around, and nobody saw the duo as strangers.
It was then that a delicate and familiar smell wafted under their nose. It was the smell of tempura.
"Man, all this food around, I'm so hungry..."
"Renko, did you skip breakfast this morning?"
"Well, I thought this wasn't too much of a loss, but now I regret it immensely..."
"Can't be helped; let's find out if we can buy some food then."

They quickly looked at a passerby to observe what currency would be used. As he approached an apple stall,
the man waved to a merchant and observed the fruit.
Surprisingly, he left with it without paying anything.

"Hey... Isn't that stealing? Could that mean everything here is free to take?"
"That's a peculiar system. No currency whatsoever? Looks like this city is actually richer than we thought."
"Say, I think we clear any doubts before getting in trouble."
"I agree, let's ask the merchant."

As they advanced, the merchant noticed them and waved them welcome with a smile. Renko decided to start the conversation.
"Excuse me..."

Renko was greeted back with a crude expression of pure horror. Everyone stopped to look at the duo, terrified.
"Err, I mean..."

The merchent hesistantly gestured for her to come closer. He began to whisper:
"Please stay silent. Take what you need and leave."

The discovery of an ancient and golden city is a rare and fantastic experience.
I really wanted to convey the fascination of that discovery.

Such an utopian civilisation has to be an illusion or a dream, or is it ?

#04 Curious Capital of Sheen and Beauty

The mountain peak the duo entered seemed to be an active volcano.
Deep inside the cave, The magma was calmly flowing.

The girls walked down slowly, following a small path led by the cave.
In front of them was a light that seemed to be different from the one from the magma below.
They walked towards the light...

"Tell me I'm dreaming right now. I've seen unbelievable things when crossing these barriers, but this..."
"Everything is made of gold ! Is this city that rich?"

Gold intricately ornamented every structure in sight, glittering radiantly under the blazing sun.
Remarkably different from the view of the monotonously dull, towering structures of Japan's skyscrapers,
the girls' vantage point presented them a small view of a cozy village instead.

"We're not mistaken! El Dorado! We made it"
"The legend of this city has been around for ages, yet nobody found it... I wonder why."
"I'm pretty sure there're a lot of people who have already found this place. In their dreams, at least.
But the existence of this place is best kept secret."
"Ah right, this amount of gold could effortlessly ruin the world's economy."
"That's right. Sometimes, keeping secrets isn't as bad as speaking a chaos-inducing truth.
I'm sure other people who found it also thought like us."

Renko looked at one of the houses closely, then poked its surface.

"Although... I don't think this is pure gold. 24-carat gold is way too soft to hold anything together."
"Quite the clever statement, Renko. Observing anything from a scientist's eye, don't you?"
"Heh, well it's necessary to evaluate the goods of this utopia, after all."

Maribel started to look at the dim sky. It was no longer a rocky roof, as it let its place for an afternoon sun.
"There was a legend that this gold was made from the greed of Hell's vengeful spirits."
"So you're saying all this gold comes from the dead? That's creepy..."
"Gold also causes humans to be greedy, and when the said humans die, they become gold. It's a vicious cycle.
Also, those with malevolent minds might also have metals like mercury and arsenic formed using the same method, too."
"Merry, don't scare me like that."

I wanted this one to carry the feeling of overflowing vegetation.
But most importantly, it carries the feeling of a mysterious exploration.
After all, exploring jungles could be full of surprises, right ?

#03 Hidden Under the Willows ~ Ancient Backwoods / "Frozen Wilderness Expedition"

"There we are Renko! We made it!"
"Are you sure we're at the right peak?"

Below the soft snowy sky, the duo was exploring the area excitedly.
After a while, they stumbled upon a strange structure.

"Oh, this structure...
If I'm not mistaken, isn't this a Shinto shrine?"
"I had no idea there was a shrine hidden in Hokkaido's mountains..."
"Sometimes, you can find the most unexpected things in unexplored places."
"What is it honoring anyway? A cult of some sort?"
Maribel didn't respond: she had no idea how to.

Shrines are structures created by man, made to accommodate the worship a superior entity or higher power.
However, it wasn't certain whether this remote shrine's god was benevolent or not.

"Descend, bold traveller, into the crater of the jökull of Snæfell,
of which the shadow of Scartaris touches before the Kalends of July, and you will reach the centre of the earth."
"What are you saying, Merry? Did you read too much Jules Verne?"
"Perhaps? I have been reading quite a few novels lately. I just noticed the similarity, that's all.
Maybe he witnessed something in his dreams, then wrote it down in the form of fiction?"
"Or he just got inspired from other authors.
In the world of literature, there's no way to distinguish reality and fantasy after all."

Behind the shrine was a mysterious entrance to a cave, deep enough to emphasise both the pitch-black darkness
and the faint light and heat of magma.

"Let's do this, Renko."

#02 Refreshing Earth of Krummholz / "Recollection of Snow and Gold"

"So you're saying this legendary city is likely to exist?"

It was no uncommon task for men to search and risk their lives to cleanse their hearts of doubt.
The search for El Dorado was an arduous journey, but all who sought the city of legend had one common goal in mind: Glory.
A man, a king, a city, a kingdom and even an empire: these were all considered to be of El Dorado.

"I remember seeing a powerful light coming from snowy mountains. It was probably located in the North of Japan."
"I have to say, most of your dreams usually bring us closer to fantastic discoveries."
Maribel paused.
"You know, this time I want to approach this in a more careful manner."
"Are you still doubtful since the TORIFUNE incident? We aren't obligated to go if you don't feel like it."

The dreams Maribel witnessed were no illusions. It's quite a grey area to even call them dreams.
During an expedition on the TORIFUNE Satellite,
Maribel got attacked by a chimera-like monster and got injured in the process.
She knows what Renko sees as dreams shouldn't be treated as such.

"...But knowing you, you wouldn't have brought up this subject if you weren't ready to go, am I right?"
"You read my mind like an open book, Renko. I want to see it with my own eyes."
"To Hokkaido it is, then."

This is the first track theme.

The beginning of a great journey is often born from a small idea.
I tried to bring that feeling of discovery from the duo, something that has never been seen before.
Though despite speaking about something new, the song is quite a traditional Touhou-style song overall.

Maybe that's because the recurring excitement of discovering is stronger than the new discovery itself, right ?

Despite being described in history books, El Dorado remains yet a mystery.
In this current Japan, such a place would have already been discovered and exploited by scientists.
However, fairytales are long forgotten and humiliating to genuinely believe.

The tangible and intangible share a thin border in literature, as myths hold different metaphors and interpretations.
Every fairytale holds a moral to follow, to bring understable and necessary catharsis for all.
To warn men about their flaws and to purify their souls.

"What if this city was stuck between illusion and reality?"

Hello guys! It's been a while yes. But I have an excuse, I've been working on my CD!

I'm also currently studying for my exams and my driving licence so I didn't have much time to work on that either, actually lol.

So Touhou 16's demo is out and it's absolutely fantastic! I really love it. But that feeling just grew even more when arriving at Stage 3. The music was just too beautiful for me to handle, so I decided to make a piano arrange of it.

Unfortunately, this is the only song I'll arrange from the demo, as I want to focus on my studies first and then my CD...

That means I can get back to work on projects too! (in moderation)

I had this one in mind for a long time now (before my Shion arrange actually)! It was just a mere 15 secs sample and now it became this and I'm so proud! I'm also testing some Groove Agent 4 drums and it sounds even more modern now
I also tried a new technique that Mana Kazami taught me: the double bass panning!
Being a bass abuser myself I was like "ohboi".
Basically panning 2 different basses to the left and to the right make the song much more fuller!
This + Trilian = oh my

Key changes are also a thing, and I thought adding some was a good idea
ZUN made some bizarre fast key changes in the past and I really loved it, so I tried it and oh, sounds quite correct as well!

I had to imagine an unexplored forest in mind when doing this, I hope I conveyed this feeling

Welp, here's another Len'en request, from BusiedGem this time!
It was pretty enjoyable to recreate (for once), as it was quite repetitive and easy to follow. I like its cheerfulness and I think my good old style would've fit it perfectly. So I brought back good ol' Gator Kit and SQ bass while putting Trilian aside this time. (RIP)
The traditional feel is definitely here though!

I also added my personnal melodic touch with an extra piano solo, else it would've just been a recreation, not an arrange.

[2015 ver.] UotAR Secret (?) Boss Theme: Unseen Madness

Although this video doesn't really have anything spooky, this song itself can be considered as slightly spooky? No idea, but it sure is different from my usual style.

Unseen Madness is definitely the darkest song I've composed, no doubt. I was under the influence of M-Theory fron Len'en EE during the composition, as I wanted something weird, or even difficult to enjoy, that slowly grows on you as you listen to it. The song, however, fits prefectly an idea of madness, insanity, reflected in the character. That was my goal. Did I succeed? No idea.
It IS weird, but no idea if it will grow on you lol.

In UotAR, Phantasm's name is replaced by something else (formerly Secret) as the supposed way to unlock it is not the same. But the boss is, as you can see, a familiar face. Is this a hint? Maybe...

This is also a friend of mine's favorite, so I hope you enjoy this remaster!

[2015 ver.] UotAR Secret (?) Stage Theme: Road to an Unknown Cataclysm, Once More

And as you can hear, I'm still loving them Trilian basses lol. And bass intros, lots of bass intros.
But hey, can't blame me for doing what I love! (Although if you're getting tired of these please tell me I don't wanna kill your ears too oh god)

Anyway, I won't lie, once I finished that bass intro, the inspiration went missing. Like, for a very long time. And it was so frustrating! (ofc the more you try the less it'll come back.)
However, it suddenly came back 2 weeks later, while playing some Tomb Raider and I ran down to my laptop like I got the most life-changing idea ever lol.

But it was not, just to place down some notes for an additional 5 sec melody. Eventually, I managed to finish this in a day. Yaas!

This is quite a chill song for a "Phantasm" stage theme, yes. But I like being unconventionnal sometimes. Yet, the further you get into the song, the stronger it becomes. This is where you know you're getting closer to a dangerous threat, and I wanted to convey that into the song.

If you have listened to my crappy old songs (don't do it), you may have noticed the very end of the song is UotAR Stage 2 theme. Yup, SE stage and Stage 2 are linked in UotAR. Although I ran out of ideas for the end so I didn't bother and slapped some stage 2 into it lol.

Hope you enjoy it anyway, even if it sounds a bit different.

[2015 ver.] UotAR Extra Boss Theme: Oneiric Snowstorm

Well, I guess I was really motivated to do this one I guess, gotta thank Book of Star Mythology for that ~

Anyway, this one is pretty particular. The composition isn't really fitting of my style, which is absolutely normal : I didn't entirely compose this. One of my long-time friend did.

And I gotta, though this song is actually REALLY old, it still sounds amazing for me, as he still was making awesome stuff in our LittleBigPlanet 2 years lol.
Anyway, this could be considered as a gift from me to him. Having your composition arranged by someone else is the best tbh. It allows you to discover your work in a different angle, and you can feel the love you're receiving ~

Also, I changed the EX Boss's name to be a bit more sophisticated. (Let's be real, Shirayuki no Shiro was the cringiest name I could ever have chosen for a Yuki-Onna lol.)

[2015 ver.] UotAR Extra Stage Theme: Lands of Eternal Winter ~ Cold Purity

It REALLY has been a while since I wanted to remaster this song. All these projects that prevented me to do so grrr.
But I was finally able to do it, and I must admit I'm pretty proud of the result ~
So, yeah, I will definitely continue my UotAR spree until the OST is completely remastered. (Well, I'm not promising anything about being on a UotAR spree though lol.)

But yeah, it was a bit hard to imagine remaking my first video ever lol. Making this old song fresh was quite challenging at first, but once the intro was done, it went very smoothly and I loved it.

[東方 Piano] All Original Tracks from Dateless Bar Old Adam

Hello, good morning or evening, depending on where you live~

Yes, it's FINALLY here! Poor me thought he could finish this on August. Oh how wrong I was lol.
I must admit that these tracks were an absolute nightmare to transcribe. ZUN really went ham on these, it was terrifying. It made me go on a music block, and the idea of making music made me shiver. However, the idea of not finishing this brought me a lot of stress, especially with college. So I brought myself together and finished these damn arrangements!

(Although "Hangover of Bedfellows Dreaming Differently" was quite pleasant to transcribe.)
(And yes, I've noticed the first track is "Old Adam Bar", not Old Bar Adam lol)

And now that this is done, I AM FREE! YEAH! Now I can freely start new projects that I will actually enjoy working on lol.
What to do now...hmmm... maybe more UotAR?

No MIDI animation on this one because laziness (my laptop was already off when I remembered this detail so oop-)

Could I consider this Touhou style? I mean, this is VERY techno-ish compared to what I usually do...
Oh well, I'm getting closer and closer to adapt to ZUN's current trance/Trilian-abusing style lol

And yes, I'm also working on Dateless Bar Old Adam piano, just don't expect it to be done soon-ish, as I have a lot of projects to work on as well...

I actually kept this one for a very long time, a few months I would say. But now I think it's worth sharing with you, now that I added some Trilian and additional parts to make it a bit longer.

Compared to "Undecided Fate of the Altered Strings", this one feels a bit more... MoF-ish I would say. Again, this might be the Gator Kit, or maybe something more !
Ahh, the ocean's warm breeze sure feels nice in summer !

[Touhou-Style Original] Undecided Fate of the Altered Strings

Last time was an experiment, but now I really want to dig deeper into this kind of style, as I really enjoy it ! EZdrummer is sounds really amazing and it makes me want to use it more and more.
As for the composition itself, you'll surely notice I was inspired by "A Never-before-seen World of Nightmares", especially in the intro.
(Trilian is bae 100%)

However, I went for something a bit more unconventional later on, hoping it won't ruin the Touhou-feel !
Since I aimed for an Extra Stage theme, the song sounds quite serious, yet a bit playful I would say.

Oh well, I'm really proud of it that way anyway ~
